Has anyone else noticed this problem with the forums?  There have been several times in the last couple months where the Glycerine - Tracking Tool forum shows a new post, I click on the link highlighted on the front page to read it, and I'm taken to the latest post in the Releases child board.  However, the Glycerine board's "New Post" icon never changes back to showing all posts as having been read, and even clicking on the "Mark ALL messages as read" link at the bottom of the main page, it would give me some kind of parsing (?) error and wouldn't reset the message status.

It was only in the last week that I finally figured out what was going on.  When someone would post in one of the child boards of the Feedback board (Suggestions or Bug Reports) the "New Post" icon for the Feedback board would be a broken image.  Even as it is right now, there's no summary for the Feedback board for how many topics or posts are contained within its child boards, and the newest post for the main Glycerine board shows the last post only in the Releases child board, not any of the child boards under Feedback.

Is there something wrong with the definition of the Feedback board that might be causing this?  Would bringing the Suggestions and Bug Reports boards up to the same level as the Releases board fix it?  Does this post, by being in one of the child boards of a child board, show up properly as the most recent post of the Glycerine board for anyone else?

I believe it is SaintNicster "resetting" a topic that he made an edit in an existing post to signify that something has changed.

That's just speculation though. Because SaintNicster does edit his posts regarding version releases and bug updates.

I'm not sure that's actually the case.  When I came back to check the status of this thread, the same situation appeared: The most recent post was the last post in the Glycerine Releases board (http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,2647.new.html#new), and the Feedback new post icon was broken.  SaintNicster's last activity today was actually six minutes before I made my initial post, so he hadn't taken any action on the boards since then to edit any of his previous posts.

Not sure what is wrong.  I'm going to chalk it up to being nested multiple levels deep, and the forum software just going a bit dumb

EDIT: In fact... problem solved!
