Scholarly book request
« on: October 23, 2014, 10:26:44 AM »
Hi, as you may have heard I'm doing a masters programme, and now I need to find my own litterary sources for an essay due this december.

the topic is simple and I'm sure someone here will have expertise on the matter.

If you would be so kind please list the names of books (with author, publication version) about the history of videogames, followed by a brief synopsis if possible.

and thanks alot it is very much appreciated.

it can also be from a reputable internet source or magazine. (please no wikipedia)
There is always another way. But it might not work exactly like you may desire.

A wise old rabbit once told me "Never give-up!, Trust your instincts!" granted the advice at the time led me on a tripped-out voyage out of an asteroid belt, but hey it was more impressive than a bunch of rocks and space monkies.

Thanks, this could be a good starting point, I was hoping there would be something the chronicles things from the beginning till now, thanks again for the help though, it's appreciated, still need more.

My essay will be mostly about the development of video game-play through history.

when id came out with doom and quake games it started the 3d hardware wars.

without the 3d games of id you would not have today nvidia and ati cards.
