Save City of heroes Cosplay campaign
« on: September 25, 2012, 03:54:20 PM »
Hi.

For those among us who are cosplayer, maybe it could be a funny and good idea to post or send pics of yourself cosplaying a hero or villain of Paragon City (or even build a special site to support with these pics).

Dunno if it's stupid. I'm to tired and depressed for IRL personal reasons right now.

Cheers.

No need to look like a shiny superhero. You can use old stuff you already have and it's no problem if you look ridiculous. ;)

I have a friend and a co-worker who both do clothing and costumes from video game characters to commissions for drag queens and everything in between. I have been interested for a long time in getting a real costume made but I haven't been thin enough until now, though, I still have a way to go until my ideal healthy weight. Even if I couldn't get the costume in time to campaign, I'd still have it done for my own enjoyment.

The only tricky part of the outfit is the Smooth shoulder pads. Since they look metal in the game and there's not much of an indication how they connect or stay on, I'd probably end up having to pay more to get those made and figured out for practical wear. The belt might incur some custom leather work fees too.

short for "costume play",[1] is a type of performance art in which participants don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea.
