Hello again, City of Heroes Players and Community!
I thoroughly enjoyed that walkthrough and instance.
Before I go, can I request one more picture for the article?
I'll start working on a strip tonight. I'll hopefully have it posted by Friday if everything goes to plan at www.megaTokyo.com
I don't mind the readers, but I did this for your cause as it's something I can relate to.
I may not be as active as I used to be but I will do what small part I can.
Now for the final video and picture, can all of you show me some powers?
And now the torches.
I will be posting the edited video to Youtube.
I have also emailed NCsoft about the concerns I have for this game's closure and have also emailed a couple of fellow webcomic creators that should be willing to join myself, and others hopefully sometime in late October.
I am not sure what is being planned but a silly bard asked for my assistance and I'll be there. So until that time, thank you City of Heroes and continue to not give up.
You do have support, everyone. We're here, and we'll be doing what we can.
Good night, and thank you for everything.

Apparently, that was NOT the real Fred and someone has taken the good team's reputation and tarnished it. I do not stand for this injustice!

Gawd, had I been around a half hour early, I might've been able to jump in on that.

I'm proud to have gotten the DFB run started with Fred. Yes - that was me. (Cyberman 8  ) :D

(Though I handed the team lead to Captain Bacon because I've never been very good with the League functions.  :P )

Well done!
I will go down with this ship.  I won't put my hands up in surrender.  There will be no white flag above my door.  I'm in love, and always will be.  Dido

Funny thing is:

I had NO IDEA Fred was going to be there. I just logged in at random, Popped into AP 33. Saw what was going on. Recognized Fred and realized from earlier posts on the Titan forums what must be going on.

Totally unplanned, spontaneous and random crazy team forming almost on the spot.

Which - hey! - is about as REAL an introduction to the game as Fred would ever be likely to get!

"Hey! Want to be on a Death From Below Run?"

"Uh... sure?"

*YOINK*

"Let's go go GO!!!  Whee!!!!!"

Largo may not have been there, but I think we all did a good stand-in. :D

Just plain cool.  Before CoH was a thing, I spent most of my time on the internet over on the MT boards.  It's like everything is coming full circle.  :)

I call bullshit. COH isn't really the type of game Fred would play, plus he hasn't had the time for MMOs in years. Either this was fabricated, or someone was impersonating him. Sorry to disappoint.

Well, it doesn't mean he's been active the whole time or anything. But would it really be that much trouble to log in for one evening and get a feel for it?

Posted within 6 minutes of registering. That's not -too- bad but it's not the world record.

If you go here, there's a list of folks who have spare accounts that they are willing to make available to media-type folks interested in seeing what the fuss is about.  It's meant to be casual, a trial with no strings. If you're a media-type, we'd welcome you to give it a whirl.

I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

Just plain cool.  Before CoH was a thing, I spent most of my time on the internet over on the MT boards.  It's like everything is coming full circle.  :)

I used to read Megatokyo a bunch before I drifted away from it.  Also I posted on the boards a bit, I forget how much exactly.  Though uh, I think he shut down the boards because of me because of a topic I posted not too long after 9/11.  Considering how many people were caught up in the fervor I don't really blame him too much for it, and it's not like a topic on an internet forum would've stopped the war anyway.

BUT ANYWAY.  Glad to see him supporting us.

Too bad someone decided to play a fake Fred though.

Would somebody please send an invite - perhaps via his Twitter - to him to use the link dwturducken posted to look into borrowing an account?

I still haven't managed to put together the invite letter for it, but if that same kind soul could link him to our Media Day thread to get his thoughts/invite him to join us for it, that would be swell, too.

He can even use my account.

It would be my genuine pleasure.
