Title: Fire/Fire Tank or Brute? Build below...
Post by: Spadra on July 25, 2014, 01:25:01 AM
Hello all!

So with us all holding our breath till CoH is announced as returning I have been thinking of my main character Spadra. He was a fairly effect fire/fire tank before the lights went off but always wondered if he could have been better build wise or if he should have been a brute. Below is what I had and I would love to hear any thoughts you all have about the current setup (always wished I could have squeezed out more defense or maxed on resistence) or if a brute would have been the way to go (better damage and build up of fury is appealing but PBAoE is lost a bit without combustion). Without further delay here is the build of one of Paragon's beloved tanks

not a bad tank, one recommendation though, for your combat jump, instead of having a recharge deux, I would put in a io that would enhance def and reduce endurance.

Thanks for the reply Phoenix! Yeah, I had tried to bolster recharge, regen and endurance reduction as much as possible. I felt that while the Fire/Fire combination is good for resistance/regen/and attack it is lacking in defense compared to the other tanks. Not sure if I should have bother to bolster the defense the way I did or just throw all my defensive end focus into building up resistance.

yw :), I only had 1 tank, but I can give some advice from a scrapper and brute player, but I would try and keep defense inline with resistance. whats hard is trying to find a way to get the tier 4 defense in jumping, this could help with I want to say resistance.
