Title: Where I have been for two years.
Post by: Victoria Victrix on June 22, 2015, 09:21:23 AM
I know I haven't logged into Titan for a very long time (two years).

First, I got very, very, very sick with some form of influenza.  At that point I turned Hail Mary over to Rae and Quinch.  They had access to everything I had.

Then my mother died.

Then our housekeeper stole my ATM card and the PIN number that had come in the mail to our savings account and wiped it out.  The police investigated and she claimed Larry had given it to her because they were having an affair.  The Credit Union used this to decline to reimburse us.  Several lawyers told us the case was unwinnable, because the Credit Union (TCCU) would continue to appeal even if we won. wiping out any money we might get back.

Then Larry's mother developed a brain tumor, requiring him to spend months in Vegas to help his dad.  She was operated on and the operation was a success but....

....she developed Alzheimer's Dementia and went into a rapid decline and died this time last year.

I considered trying to revive Hail Mary, but decided not to given (a) the number of gaming studios that had closed and (b) that I had just started a writing project for Hyperion/Disney that was taking up all my "spare" time and became this:  http://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Mercedes-Lackey/dp/1484707842 (http://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Mercedes-Lackey/dp/1484707842)

I've been part of the testing group for SOON(TM) recently, and I'm glad it is very very close to implementation.  I can't wait to get my old RP buddies together and see my toon herd again.

Sorry I haven't been around but I hope the above are reasons enough.

VV, that's a heck of a rough time. Glad things are moving on (and it very much looks like they're moving up), glad you're still with us, and just plain glad to see you.

We all wish you well, and welcome back.

No need to apologise at all for going through such tough times. As a regular lurker delighted to see you back, seeing somebody like yourself fighting for the game 2 years ago was one of the things that most gave me hope that we'd all get to visit the City again sometime. :)

Oh my gosh, Victoria!

Best of luck with your new book, it looks great!

I truly hope your "bad years" are behind you now, and am glad to see you peeping about the forums again.   :D

I just logged into Icon again last night, and it was exciting just to fly around Paragon again never mind know that we'll all be soon meeting up in-game beyond that!   8)

What was with the last two years? It seems like everyone I know has had problems of some sort or another.

Your 2 years is certainly among the worst of those, VV. Here's to hoping the bad times are now behind you. *hugs*

I'm glad you are back and sorry for your troubles. But really, you owe us nothing, not even an explanation. Your time is your own and how you spend is up to you. Of course, we appreciate all you have done, but saving COH is an obligation of the entire community not one overworked and overtaxed individual.

Have you seen Daredevil?

Welcome back VV.  I really enjoyed the books.

I recently binge-read the 500 Kingdoms because... well, just because!  And about half of the Elemental Masters, too, all because they're so enjoyable.

So, I'm looking forward to the new books, whenever they're published.

Oh I didn't even bother to mention the illnesses, like Larry having crippling back problems that were finally resolved two months ago with kidney stone surgery. (Pro-tip: If it feels like you pulled a muscle in your back and it just keeps getting worse, have them check you for kidney stones.  His were the size of bullets.  Literally).   And other things, I just won't go into.  Yeah, it has not been good.

Looking forward to CW and Leo getting SOON fully up and running.  Two years to a chat server when SWG took four?  Pretty sweet.

Codewalker mentioned he didn't have movement modes working yet.  So not so much flying around.  It'll be like we're all level 1s, before we had luxuries like sprint.  But at least when we race to Portal Corp like we used to do in the old days, no snipers.

Sorry I haven't been around but I hope the above are reasons enough.

I'm sure you did in fact emphasize the point that it was /YOUR/ ATM card not Larry's? therefore she would have had to steal it. This would void her whole defense (which is an obvious lie/excuse all together)

if the credit institution got involved in the case (such as taking sides) then that makes them at fault, they were obviously doing whats best in their business interest to not have to pay it back.

then again, it's not the credit institution that should pay it back, it's the housekeeper (you only get the credit institution to reimburse you when you don't know the culprit(s) directly). Let her get in debt for all you care, if she spent the stolen money or transferred it to family and no longer has it, then that's her fault. keep the credit institution out of it, and also make sure you demand reimbursement for all elapsed court time and lawyer fees.

make sure you make it clear that you are not asking the credit institution for a reimbursement but are suing the housekeeper directly for her theft and damages (Also make sure your husband is allowed to voice his opposition to her claim (at the witness stand) that they were having an affair, that makes her claim against his claim "hearsay" as in neither can be taken as evidence because there is no evidence to prove either, it's one person's word against another). if she has 'dirty soiled anything' with your husband's DNA, your defense is "she's the housekeeper, she had access to our waste and laundry and obviously tampered with it." very little defense to that.

Then as the credit institution is not involved in the case as anything other than a witness by which the money went through from your account to the housekeeper's account(s) they are an outside party/witness and cannot form a rebuttal or an appeal. To do so would show bias on behalf of your housekeeper.

but I'm sure you and your lawyers thought of that, so it's probably useless, but meh, it's there in the slight chance that it may be helpful.

Not to play it down, but this legal advice I'm giving is based on the information obtained in criminal law courses I took in high school in 2003-2004?.

Anyways, glad to see you're back, and I hope things start going better for you. Stuff like that really ticks me off.

Even if you wont sue her directly or such, can I have permission to make a mission/arch about this topic using different names?

"Supervillain maid possessed by terrible wicked spirits and her credit institution goons stole your money."

plot: she needs the money to buy gold to enchant to feed her wicked spirits which give her her powers and if not stopped will steal money from the whole world as an undercover housekeeper.

final mission: as you've observed the gold seems to still be inside her, beat the gold out of her to weaken her powers and free the host from the evil that possess her. defeat Wicked Maid.

Not to play it down, but this legal advice I'm giving is based on the information obtained in criminal law courses I took in high school in 2003-2004?

You should consider playing it down.  Way, way down:

1.  Separate from the fact you don't know the financial facts in this case, claiming a spouse provided access to their spouses' ATM card is a legitimate defense against fraud and theft, because of the reasonable presumption they have that right.  This would be an affirmative defense in either civil or criminal court.  Your class should have covered that.

2. Heresay refers to references to statements made out of court and not under oath used to attempt to prove the content of the statements themselves.  Claiming she was having an affair with VV"s husband in court would be direct testimony, offered under oath.  Her husband's claim that they were not having an affair would also be direct testimony, possibly as a rebuttal witness.  Neither statement would be heresay, because neither references statements made by a third party out of court.  In fact, "he told me I could use the ATM for whatever I wanted" would probably also fall under one of the exemptions to the heresay rule, offered not to prove the statement to be true but to illustrate the state of mind of the person making the statement.  Your class really should have covered that, its a foundational element of US criminal law.

3.  The credit union would almost certainly not be a "witness" in this case, except insofar as their financial records could be subpoenaed to prove the factual statement money was actually withdrawn.  There's no reason to attempt to legally maneuver them into not testifying.

4.  In cases like this, you can generally only sue for compensatory damages (designed to recover losses due to the activity being sued over, and things like pain and suffering) and punitive damages (damages designed to deter future similar activity).  You can't generally sue to cover legal fees except under certain special circumstances.  And if you're suing the credit union itself, its virtually impossible in this circumstance to receive punitive damages, since they had no way of knowing the ATM usage was unauthorized.  If the credit union elected to appeal indefinitely to attempt to deter recovery claims like this, its very possible the court costs could exceed the final recovery amount.  A criminal conviction might not even help, because even if the ATM use was fraudulent, it would depend on the credit union's terms and conditions as to whether and to what degree they are contractually responsible for ATM card abuse.  I am unfamiliar with TCCU, so I can't speak to their policies.  Many banks and credit unions, however, have separate policies for credit transactions and PIN-verified ones, and the PIN-verified ones often offer far less protection.

Unsolicited legal advice is a dangerous thing, even when its accurate.  When its extremely inaccurate it becomes something else entirely.

Short form on the ATM card front is:

Everything Arcana said, plus, we were nice to the housekeeper, got her clothing, and since she did not have a bank account, helped her start an account at that same credit union.  Which the credit union used as "further proof" Larry was having an affair with her (facepalm).  No good deed goes unpunished.

Sure. It says, "You can't read this! Ha ha, I win!"

Actually, it says yet another programmer thinks they can invent a block cipher.  I have yet to meet the programmer capable of even equaling Enigma, but they keep trying.

The message also exhibits a lot of structure, but its probably too short to evaluate with conventional cryptanalysis.  In other words, its not long enough to expose the weaknesses in its encryption algorithm (at a glance it seems to have barely 120 bits of message content), unless you get lucky and guess the algorithm directly.

Also, this is way off topic, even for me.

Not sure if it was presumptuous (I apologize in advance if it was) but I did mention on File 770 that now would be a very good time to buy your books, and next payday my family will be picking up some of the ones we don't already have. I think that will help better than any legal advice under the circumstances. :)

(If you have young children or nieces and nephews, I tend to recommend Disney stock.  That way, when you're standing in line at the Disney store for the twelfth time or watching that Disney Junior cartoon that's their absolute favorite this week, again, you can be thinking about how every little bit helps your retirement aspirations.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have to catch up on some Oso the Special Agent bear.  Its my niece's favorite.  Also, Octonauts is her favorite.  Except for Frozen, which is her favorite.  Although Tangled is really her favorite.)

From what I've seen, he's related to the Yo quiero taco bell chihuahua.

I actually like this cartoon because its actually educational.  On the other hand, vegimals.  My niece actually jumps around the room like a maniac screaming "Creature Report! Creature Report!" at the end of the episode.  VV needs to figure out how to get in on this action.  Vegetable-animal hybrids, secret agent bears, sentient trains, possessed toy veterinarians - this is science fiction and fantasy at its most hallucinogenic yet ludicrously profitable.

My little 4-year-old devil-beast utterly adores Octonauts, but over here in the UK Peso is just a nervous English penguin. I was amused about the localisation. I like it a lot for the actual science, so I don't object to watching it, but, as you say, vegimals.

Oh I think it is US stupidity that assumes Peso is "Mexican."  To 99.9% of the US population, if it has a Spanish accent, it is "Mexican."

Peso could easily be from several places in South America.

King, Gentoo and Rockhopper Penguins live and breed in the Falkland Islands.  Rockhopper, Macaroni, Magellanic and Humboldt Penguins live and breed on the southern coastal regions of the South American continent.

Hi, VV!

I was on the bus around this time last year and I saw a woman reading one of your books.  I can't remember which but I had to nerd out to her and say that I used to game with you lol.  She kind of gave me a look like CoH isn't something you would possibly  do and that I must be thinking of R.L. Stine or someone else entirely.  Ah to be a gamer is to be accustomed to being the only one who knows what you're talking about.

I'm sorry to hear about the string of mishaps and tragedies.  For these things to happen in succession especially to a kind soul like you cut me to the quick and my heart goes out to you at light speed.  Faster even.  I'm glad to see you posting again and maybe one day hopefully soon we can run some missions together!  Fingers crossed!

I might have gotten the first name of the writer incorrect in that previous post.  I appologize.
It should have been:

Toyota Lake,
Chevy Lake,
Ford D. Lake,
Buick Lake,
BMW Lake,
Mercurochrome Lake,
McShady's Lake,
Cadilliac Lake (on the Cadilliac Ranch),
or
Mercury Lake.

I'm almost hazey that it might have been one of them.

Hugs Victrix...I just want to point out to everyone that if you have not already bought or read a copy of it...Mercedes Lackey has a fantastic superhero series which also features her CoH character Seraphym...it has lots of intrigue, politics and action.
It's a collaboration with several other great writers so go buy the books, read them and if you cant afford the book - ask your library to pick up a copy.

 SecretWorld Series:

Thank you Victrix and Joshex, much appreciated...I will be buying one for my private library and one for our local library!

Now im eagerly awaiting the 5th book hahahaha

And yes Victrix I have many of your books in my collection, I started collecting since I picked up Children of the Night and later on went back and bought your previous novels. I have 8 bookshelves of authors...your with Stephen King, Anne Rice, Dean R Koontz, John Grishom, Lincoln Child, Stephen B Parker and Ellis Peters...this gives you an idea of the authors I collect...
About 10 years ago I started collecting newer authors...James Rollins, Matthew Reilly, Patricia Briggs, Carrie Vaughn, Anna Windsor and Kim Harrison!
I have always been an avid reader...I did not start online until 2007 and CoH was my first and will always be my favorite mmorpg. I am not a big tv or movie watcher...I enjoy BOOKS!

You have always been one of my favorites...I am saddened by how much things have gone wrong around you...I remember hearing about the aviary being damaged too...I know your soft and gooey inside but strong to the world...but know this...
You have brought light to many of our lives, helped many and we all do love you for who you are, you have made a difference in this world!!!

 AND WELCOME BACK!!!!

I'll be right back, it's time to buy more bookshelves :)

Eventually, once other renovations are done on the house, we'll be building a wall of bookshelves. We'll probably be hiding the access to the garage behind a Murphy door disguised as a bookshelf. We'd have plenty of room for more Mercedes Lackey books. My personal library takes up 2 shelves (and then some) double stacked and my collection of Mercedes Lackey's books takes up over half of one shelf alone. L. E. Modesitt Jr. takes up the rest of the shelf.

Books make excellent insulation, and in the event of the meltdown of society and dystopian future, they also make excellent bullet-stops.

Joshex, the critter on the front of Collision is the Nazi Death Sphere (the other books in the series have featured the Nazi Death Eagle, the Nazi Death Wolf, and Ubermensch in his Nazi Death Power Armor.  The last will have a Nazi Death Dragon).  Of course the Nazis are alien Nazis, because, why not.

One thing for sure, no matter how much goes wrong in my life, the writing continues.  Roughly four books a year.  I'm about to break 100.

heh, that would explain where hitler got that haircut and mustache style, I always thought it was because of some mental disorder, but yes, aliens! it explains everything now.

Can't complain about content, just like the Indiana Jones movies all the best action takes place when fighting nazis. I'll have to give this thing a read.

I wish I had that kind of gusto to plow out 4 books, can't even seem to get through the 3rd chapter in one lol.

But then you have to read my crew-chief's blog about the WEC/Tudor racing weekend.  And I'll make you read another about the upcoming F1 weekend.

Not exactly a hardship: I loves me some racing!

So good to see your words again, M. I haven't been here much more than you have for a couple years. "I have not abandoned hope...'though I know there's nothing more."

Sadly the F1 weekend was.....damp.  As in Thursday, Friday and Saturday events, practices and qualifiers were all canceled because the remains of Hurricane Patricia rolled into Austin and stayed.  They crammed everything into Sunday, and the hill behind us (Turn 1) was epic levels of Woodstock mud.

The Secret World MMO changed their original name to the name Secret World more than a year after the publication of the first book, and more than two years after the initiation of the podcast.  Maybe it's coincidence...but what is not coincidence is the fact that a full four years after the first podcast and three years after the publication of the first book is that they used the name "Secret World Chronicles" as that of their Vault system.  And why would anyone name a storage system a "chronicle"?
Thank you for the answer :) I did not know they changed the name. I have no idea about chronical, I do think it could be that they thought it might be catchy.

Well, I'm not sure about it.
Give me a writing sample, FeliciaDivine.
Go to Roleplaying and add the next entry to either:
"The THeM Story" or
"The East Gate Affair" or both or something brand new.

lay-off WHATHG series though, I have certain plans for them.

No, I'm not declaring those stories open to anybody, of course I can't stop anyone from doing nothing.

(Laughing out loud) your a pretty good writer PA. VV has helped groom many writers and is in my opinion one of the Top 100 Best Writers of this century...The Heralds of Valdemar series alone cements her as an icon. Of course she is busy but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I hope others will join us as we poke fun, recreate adventures with a twist, and lament the loss of our home. Atlas Park is my favorite place!

Yes I think VV is a definitely in the same heavy weight category as Isaac Asimov and Stephen King!!! Her books are a must read before you die, so add that to your bucket list :)

If your interested in collaborating on a CoH story go to the Roleplaying section of the forums, read Avengers stories then contact him!

As for VV being back, I am praying the hardest part of your life is over and you can start enjoying life a little.

WEll, not too long after the shut down, Mercedes Lackey and a few others were in a effort to bring CoH back. Mercedes posted quite abit on the forums during that period. Then, all of a sudden, we heard nothing from her for 2 years. This particular thread was her letting us know that she had survived the various situations that life had thrown her way and was back with us again. Come of us were actually concerned about her sudden absence from the forums and are glad that she's back.

Perhaps, since CoH players are a tight-knit community, we would care because she's one of us.

If you need more, then because she and her husband have been stanch supporters of the movements to try and buy back the game, as well as the fact that she's a wonderful writer who's put out four books now based on COH characters, all of which are an engrossing read, and a whole world of other fantasy fiction.  Seriously, just google Mercedes Lackey.

Speaking of her books, I just finished Collision, and I can quite honestly say I laughed, I cried, I cheered, and I'm already eagerly awaiting #5.   :D

The life we imagine writers' have:

The writer lives in a big house on the outskirts of the suburbans.
A writing den with book shelf lined walls is where most of the writing gets done.  A maghogeney desk sits in front of french doors leading to a balconey with a breath-taking view of a lake and a far off mountain.  A manual typewriter and a pile of papers adorn the desk.  The clock chimes 10 o'clock, and the writer, still in PJ's and a bath robe, strolls into the room yawning and scratching.  The maid/cook enters and asks about what the writer wants for breakfast.  The writer mummbles something and the maid/cook laeves.  The writer sits in the over-stuffed high-backed leather chair, feeds the typewriter a sheet of paper and begins pecking away at the keys.
The phone rings, it's the agent.  The agents has just signed the writer to appear on one of the late shows.

The life writers actually have:

The 7 o'clock alarm blasts.
The writer jumps out of bed and heads to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for work.
The writer leaves the studio apartment in the ran-down part of the old down-town area and catches the train.
By 9 o'clock, the writer is in the office making sales calls for an insurance company.
During morning break, the writer jots down a couple notes to work on after work.
After 5, the writer boards the train and returns home.
The writer fires up the laptop and starts working on the Word document that holds the story.
The phone rings, it's a bill collector.  The writer writes a bit a fiction, it's called a cheque.

You know this actually got me thinking.  I remember reading in a previous post that you typically don't do "Writer for hire" work.  As in you don't just write any book because some one paid you too.

Is this common in the writing world?  I am a musician and I would say the majority of my money comes from side gigs and things that I would have never done in a million years if there wasn't a paycheck involved.  I know they are different thing's I was just impressed that you were able to make a successful career without having to do a lot of contract work.  So I guess the question is.  Is it more common for writers to stick to strictly personal creation's?  Or is it like other independent creativity based job's where people are willing to "sell out"(I hate that phrase but for lack of a better one) to eat at the end of the day?

At the end of the day I just love playing Music.  I don't care if I wrote it or not.  But I could see how writing would be a lot more soul crushing if it wasn't coming from the heart.

Of all of the writers in SFWA (Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America) 95% of them have a day-job that is not writing.  I'd say 50% of those teach, the rest do almost anything.

Of the 5% that make their living from writing, at least half do so writing something that is not fantasy or SF--these jobs range from writing work-for-hire, such as category romances, to writing articles, to (a very, very, very few) successful blogs, to writing advertising copy.

Of that 2.5% that makes a living writing SF/F, half of them make their living predominately writing work-for-hire (you really didn't think Shatner actually wrote those books himself, did you?).

That leaves 1.25% of all the people in SFWA who make their living writing more or less what they want, under their own names.

I have a question for you VV, I have just gotten back of my lunch break where I like to sit down with a good book and coffee, chance to get out of the office and get lost in a good book, to the point where you notice nothing going on around you which happens a lot these days, but that's just me, anyway my question is this;

Have you ever been out minding your own business either like me sat having a coffee or travelling somewhere and seen someone reading one of your books? If so have you ever thought about going over to say hello or have you just walked away with a knowing smile on your face?

I've never had that particular experience.  I have had the very peculiar experience, several times, of having someone I am on the phone to--say, about my cell phone plan, or insurance, or something equally mundane, ask me, "Are you Mercedes Lackey the writer?" and then have them squee when I say yes.

Equally bizarre, I have gotten notes from packers in stuff I've ordered saying "I can't believe I'm shipping this to my favorite writer!"

Statistically speaking, the odds appear to be in their favor.  Google apparently thinks there's only one Mercedes Lackey in the Milky Way.  I went through page after page of search results: you, you, you, more you, still more you, you, you, that's oh wait still you, you, here some songs by oh wait looks like you, you, you, you, you...

Seriously, the first site that looked like it wasn't you was the Alexapure water purification company, thirteen pages deep.  And that turned out to be someone hacked the site and stuck a link claiming to have some of your work downloadable.  It wasn't: it was a fake leading to an ad leading to usenet.nl and that's as far as I was prepared to go without using a locked down system.

In case you care: [[EDIT: THERE USED TO BE A LINK HERE ~Agge]]

PS: I wouldn't explore hacked sites without extreme caution.

Once I went from sites about Mercedes Lackey to sites about works by Mercedes Lackey to sites about people who work with Mercedes Lackey to finally sites actually hacked to look like they contain works by Mercedes Lackey but are using Mercedes Lackey for click bait I figured that was enough google for one day.  I probably would have had to scan through people who named their pets after Mercedes Lackey and pancakes with grill patterns that resemble fictional characters created by Mercedes Lackey before I eventually reached a totally different Mercedes Lackey.  And then I'll discover on her facebook page she was named after you in 1993.

Maybe at this point you're so famous that no one wants to name their kids "Mercedes Lackey" anymore.  Maybe there's only a bunch of "_M3rc3d3s L2ck3y!!!_"s out there.

Arcana, you have incurred the displeasure of my Umbrella Cockatoo, who was having a blissful shoulder-cuddle until you made me laugh so hard she was Disturbed.  No worries, she'll forgive you for an almond.

usenet alleged downloads seem to run about 90/5/5--90% of the time they'll download malware, 5% of the time they'll download something that generally turns out to be a review of a book or the scanned cover of a book, and the remaining 5% they'll download a book...but it might not be the book you wanted.

The notes from the packers were confined to some tiny little places like a bead seller (and they sent me Free Things!  I sent back signed books), times when I've bought a book of my own off a used-book seller, and bird food.  Larger places, like Amazon, I'm not at all concerned about.  The packers there have to work so fast they don't have time to breathe, much less notice who the box is going to.

Me: That is correct.
Developer 13: I hope you remember who helped you get your start.
Me: I just, one day, decided that I should try this Fan Fiction stuff.
Developer 13: Look, I ain't saying who said what, baby, what am I talking about?
Me: What are you talking about?
Developer 13: Do I have to spell it out for you.  Put me in that story, already.
Me: I don't know.
Developer 13: You're such a kidder.  Listen, either I'm in that story or you're going to wish you had.
Me: What do you mean?
Developer 13: Have I ever told you how JavaScript was created?  It's a six hour story.
Me: Don't you threaten me!
Developer 13: I don't want it to come to that.  Think it over.
Developer 13 walks away.
Me: No wonder I deleted that guy.

(Developer 13 was one of my toons in City of Heroes that I deleted before he hit level 30.)

I've had characters waltz in, demand a bigger part, and then a book of their own, yes.

Were any of those characters Elspeth or Skif?  :)

The three that spring to mind are Skif, Firesong and Lord Peter Almsley.

Of course, Firesong would be one of them. He rarely doesn't get his way either, as I recall.

I am enjoying Titan Paragon Chat, the only sad thing is my hours are erratic and usually LONG after the rest of you have gone to bed.  But it is glorious just to be able to fly around zones again.

What's been happening with me is that I'll zip around some zones, look up places I remember, feel a little depressed at how empty it is, scrounge up some CoH videos on YouTube, and then wind up morose about how all of this is in the past, cut down by some middle management decision chasing the almighty bottom line.

If I could just hang onto the feeling of freedom that Super Speed, Flight, and Super Jump give me after the experience of lumbering around in another MMO where the devs have built in limits on how you can move around so that they can design the zones to put where you want to go fifty feet away from you, but force you to go a mile out of your way to get there... All the things that the CoH devs did to remove impediments to getting around; eight and a half years of that spoiled me.

Hey Mercedes,
I was watching some interview show where the host was talking to authors.
Here are a couple "rapid-fire" questions, see if you can answer them.

Where do you write, and why?
Are you an architech or a gardner when it comes to writing?

I write in my office, in a zero-gravity chair.  This allows me to get away from the household and completely out of sight, and allows me to ignore my bad back and concentrate on writing.

I'm an architect.  I work from an outline.

Thank you for your reply.
My fan-fiction is defenately a garden, a weed choked over-grown jumble.
I like to write right in front of the computer.  I use an email program with spell-checking and grammar-checking turned-on, but a few typos slip through.  Like Super Fire Dragon, he was actually a typo, yep.

Super Fire Dragon was a typo?  I don't think so.

SFD: Yo VV, do you ever talk to your characters?
VV: Yes, sometimes.
SFD: and are you generally respectful towards them.
VV: Well, I guess so.
SFD: Good, cause I want to change authors.  How would you like to write about a wise-cracking four-foot tall golden dragon?
VV: No thank you.
SFD: Come on, babe

They all laughed.
