Title: New Tutorial on Editing Costumes with Paragon Chat's Database
Post by: Tipsy on September 13, 2015, 04:04:42 AM
Hi Paragon Chat users,

After weeks of fiddling slowly with the database editor and costumes in Paragon Chat, I felt like it was my duty to this community to share my learnings, so that any new people who want to edit their costumes with the fancy NPC parts can more easily learn how.

With that spirit, I've written a tutorial on how to work with costume parts on the Paragon Chat database.  Thanks to everyone (especially people on these forums) who pointed me in the right direction.

I've made an effort to consolidate and clarify, but please feel free to give me feedback, advice, questions, additions, etc.

<3,

While I saw this was posted way, way back, gonna just give this a bump as someone asked me about database hacking and it's been a while.

We need some database hackers to maybe update the info and make some stickes on this topic I think.

Made this today. (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwInqPqmcqOqLXVvU1BTaGY3Ums/view)

It's intended for first time Costume Editing through the Database.  Explains getting started in detail, but it isn't exhaustive.  Tipsycakes guide is useful for Icon NPC edits.  Just enough in the guide above to get one's feet wet.

Nice job. I'll look it over more closely later and see if there's anything I can add. I get asked about DB editing frequently in-game because I've made some... elegant costumes.
