Title: Fire/Therm
Post by: Soul Resonance on November 16, 2015, 02:02:13 AM
Magi is going to be my first(and probably only  :P) playing of a Corr build of my own creation, as I have next to no experience in Corrs(even though I do know their sets  ???)

If you're only going to play one corr it seems like kind of a waste to make it a therm. sorry therm-ites.

Not a fan of the APP choice for this combo.  With the shields, buffs and heals, you'd be better off investing in one of the villain epics to get the pet.  This way you can solo higher levels with a well-protected friend.  Then, if you get into incarnates, you can pick up more pets and have them buffed as well.

Thermal is useful for teaming, so for those times when you're solo or on a small team, having the ability to toss pets out there would be a great strategy.

Hmm..I guess I could maybe look into the Black Scorpion Power Pool..never really thought to get a pet  :-\...and the shield would be nice for the LoTG IO for recharge

I too hated Thermal..

In the end I made some Coruptors. I wish I had remade my Rad/Rad defender into a Corruptor. I would have like that better.

My DP/Time was awesome

Changed it a little to get you the pet. You do not have cauterize anymore but with the team resistance shields you have to dole out, I figure your team will rather have that instead. It is what got you the pet, but I could easily swap out the rise if the phoenix (teammate rez) move as a good team would rarely need that either. Up to you, but I shot for some defense to help you along your way.

P.S. Don't listen to the others, I liked Therm a LOT when the game was up as it has a lot to offer (almost as cool as Poison IMHO) but I would have picked ICE blast instead as a primary (hot and cold, I like themes).

Nice! I appreciate it :D
