I tried "Demorecord" from Icon and managed to record a demo.
Sweet! I then spent a couple of days getting into all the NPC files, learning what items I need, scouting locations ...
I put a bunch of NPC's and some items around and then went into demorecord mode
All the items I'd placed disappeared :(
here I thought I could use Icon to place some items, then do a recording, and add SFX via editing the demo.
I guess the client does something when you type 'demorecord' that flushes the Icon inserted items?
Is there a fix for this?

Everything in the world also disappears when you stop recording :(
So, my hunch is the way Icon works isn't compatible with demorecord - I guess the client resyncs when you doa demo record and then only records the events coming FROM the server - and there isn't one.
Figuring out another way to do what I need to do ...
And Yea, if the above comment was from "CodeMaster" I was 'renaming' myself, but its me, don't want to take away from CodeWalker.
