You know, those days when you would log in but really didn't want to DO anything and just stand around.
My favorite was Steel Canyon.
Either by the big statue or by Icon.

The various Shadow Shards were my favourite zones. Hardly anybody went there unless they had a mission and I frequently had the entire place to myself.

Before Pocket D, Gemini Park was a place to hang and RP on Virtue.
Croatoa became my favourite once it opened. I liked the look of the town and the nearby fields and forest. And then there was a beach and water.
Runners up: Talos Island (tons of places to just chill) and Founders around Williams Square.

I used to love flying around aimlessly in certain zones. KR was always a favorite. Generally I get too antsy to just sit an chill in one spot for too long.
My wife used to spend hours sitting in AP critiquing and criticizing costumes. I would sit with her and a few other people doing that from time to time. It wasn't an uncommon event to escort people to Icon and help them pay for a makeover.

Ouroboros. Specifically the islands with those infinite waterfalls that surrounded the main sanctum. I'd always log out there. Partially for the convenience of having the portal ready for whenever I needed to go somewhere but mostly for the scenery.

I can't quite put a finger on it, but, my fav zone was Kings Row. I would just randomly roam around. It felt just felt right.

When the game was live: Talos Island. I liked the multiple levels, Spanky's Boardwalk. At night, it seemed more prevalent in this zone that blue eyes looked even bluer, a lovely shade of blue; or I just noticed it first in TI. You could make the war walls mostly disappear by turning down the level of graphics. Yeah, I know, Peregrine Island has no war walls.
I like Perez Park for nature walks. The distant green mist is pretty cool.
Messing around with Icon, updated graphics make Praetoria better for screenshots with Imperial City my favorite as it has a lot of locations that work for whatever comic story I'm working on.
There's an office map, police station (but lacking a few cubicles), tram station, Studio 55, a park (wish there were a more denser region of trees), lots of outdoor cafes although I wished they had fixed the chairs and tables in the southern area as some are partially sitting within the ground, trading house which I use as a museum, bank, sport courts (basketball, tennis, putting green), playground, CDEC = lab, hospital (but that's in every zone), TPN, a gazebo (oh, the horror!).

For me, personally, hearing the music swell up as you enter the City Hall area of Atlas Park... Always gets me. 8)
But for my characters, that depended on which one. For one of my Vigilante characters, Kings Row- for the other, St Martial, exacting vengeance. For my Elec controller it was Faultline (He was Penny's cousin and was crashing on their couch) For my many-armored character, it was Founders (he worked at the university there)... and so on. I liked it best when the zones fit the moods/themes of the characters I was playing.
I can't say I'm much of a RP'er, if at all, but I do love exploring my characters and their motivations, and playing to their themes. :)

I liked Fire Base Zulu. Flying through the Zone with the backdrop colors was peaceful.

I was always fond of hanging out in Founders Falls, and hunting sharpshooters...

I would hide from all searches and hang-out in the SG base.
And if I really wanted to make sure nobody would find me, I would finish an easy mission, and forget to hit the blue button.
If I wanted to be found, but not by "Death From Below" trolls, I would go to Galaxy City or Perez Park.
Ouroboros was always a great escape to just chill and watch the toons run by. The Midnighters' Club was like that too.

So many to name..... My favorite perching spots were on top of Atlas in AP, Blyde Square, the Chantry, and either bridge in IP.

I had 2 spots in Atlas Park. The first was under Atlas statue since my group held a monthly costume contest there and you could greet new players coming into the game. The other was in the private area in AE building in Atlas because you could look down on the city and see the Capitol and Atlas Statue. Atlas Park is my home :)

I spent most of my time talking crap and harassing people in Siren's Call =)
Otherwise I was at the market/uni trying to improve myself for siren's call.
In the end I hung out a lot in the zone where incarnate mission teams gathered. what was it called again? =)

I think Steel Canyon has always spoke to me on some level.
I'm a frequent Paragon Chat player, and I find myself visiting most of the blue zones on a fairly consistent basis (not much of a red side fan). I'm not sure if there are any zones in-particular that I find myself in more so than others... but if I had to name a few, they would probably be Atlas Park, Steel Canyon, Peregrine Island, and The Hollows.

This. And it still gets to me. But AP was great for costume contests, and trading inf/salvage with low level toons.

Lucky for you, HERC is going to hold a Costume Contest in about 20 minutes!

Pocket D (Especially the chalet while it was around), Talos Island around the waterfall, and some of the spires around the Hive in Eden. Biggest RP spots for me while I played.
