So since we finally got a Superman in Supergirl.

And now we get a Bat-Woman - does this mean...............................

I assume the Gotham show has zero to do with the CW shows.

Yeah, Gotham is on Fox - and it's getting it's final season soon-ish.

Batwoman and Gotham is a pretty interesting choice of character and location when the previous crossovers have been about massive worldwide threats - the Bat family and Gotham are about as far from that as you can get.

I wonder if they might be going with some kind of Crime Bible-Intergang based storyline for the crossover with the New Gods as the big threat? That could explain why a non-powered character like Kate could be an important part of a crossover that usually features a threat to the whole world.

Is this crossover in the Arrowverse or is Gotham and BW on yet another Earth?

They haven't said yet - but Gotham City's been referenced on Arrow and Supergirl, Bruce Wayne's been mentioned on Arrow and Batman has been very heavily implied to exist on Supergirl, so it seems likely that they'll make Kate be from one of those two Earths and not create a new one.

I just read it will be part of the Arrowverse. Which is interesting to have a Batwoman but no Batman.

Didn't they have a Birds of Prey show a few years ago? Wasn't Batwoman part of that?

Well, Bruce Wayne and Gotham have both been mentioned on Arrow, and Supergirl has mentioned Gotham too, and very heavily hinted at the existence of Batman.

And they couldn't call Felicity "Oracle" because "that name's already taken."

Batgirl was, as Oracle. That show was prior to the modern batwoman incarnation I think. Really hope they don't do the crime Bible story which was terrible enough in the comics. Though really batwoman is one of those odd cases of a good character who's never been in any good stories (apart from the early rebirth team ones in tec).

In other DC news they already have doom patrol planned as a Titans spin-off on their streaming service and there's a pennyworth series in the works as well.

Seriously? Gotham is a prequel to Batman. How are they going to merge with the Arrowverse? That doesn't make no sense.  >:(

The Gotham show on Fox is completely separate from the Gotham location in the Arrowverse.

Once again DC makes their stuff easy for people to follow.

Wait, are you saying that Gotham on Fix is totally separate from the Gotham location in the Arrowverse?

Seems easy to follow... Different network, different "universe."

Yes - Fox is a totally separate network to the CW, and there is no connection at all between any of their shows.

You'd think that....

Easy for comic fans since we are used to it.

Though people seem ok with the Flash being totally different between the film and the TV series.

But since the TV shows do a lot of crossovers, I can see people thinking one Gotham might be connected to the other.
