Title: Well Now....
Post by: Angel Phoenix77 on June 11, 2018, 05:14:38 AM
It is official there is a new mmo coming by the name of Fallout 76. It is an interesting idea, I just wonder if it will be pvp only. In which case, I will pass.
What do everyone else think?

It's going to be multi platform. To me that does not mean the game will be bad, but it does mean the game will not be as good as it could be so they can make more money off of it. Companies exist to make money, so that's understandable. As a player, though, I care more about my experience being effected by their design decisions than I do their income.

Won't be an mmo, not as many players at the same time. I didn't get a forced-pvp vibe from it, looks good so far.

This is true, I get the SWL type of feeling from 76.

It just doesn't look interesting to me.  I loved the VATS system in Fallout 4 (and the previous games had straight turn-based combat), while this looks like a straight-up FPS.

Edit: It does apparently have the VATS system, but it's now in realtime instead of slowing things down when you activate it.  So choose targets quickly.
