This is kind of an odd question, but is there any way to do the old "Take-a-Knee" emote in Paragon Chat? (Drop to one knee, leaning forward. I think also it had one hand on the ground).
It was actually an animation for recovering endurance, if I remember right.
-
Come to think of it, I don't know if there was actually an emote command for that. Any time you wanted that pose, you could just activate Rest.
-
There's a pretty good chance it's already in the emote pack add-on that a lot of people use.
If for some reason it isn't and you want to add it to emote.cfg, just add one with "Bits REST"
-
I didn't see it in the emotes add-on.
I hate to be dense, but when I go to: %APPDATA%\ParagonChat\Client\Data\texts\English\menus
and open the menu, all I see is a: quickchat.mnu file.
But I don't see how to add Bits REST to it.
Should I slide all of this post over to the Add-ons and Modifications Forum and ask for help there?

That's the wrong place, that's just for the in-game menu. You want ParagonChat\Config\emote.cfg
There's a bunch of sample entries (the built-in defaults), all commented out with a #
If you have the add-on, there will probably also be some uncommented ones, too.
Adding a new emote to this file makes it available to use with "/em yournamehere"

Just out of curiosity, I can't help but wonder: Are you making a football player?
-
Nope, but it's a good emote for RP, for both taking a rest, and also for crouching, say, on a rooftop and spying on someone.
Also, I have a magic origin healer who, RP-wise, draws energy from laylines to heal, and then gives back to the laylines the energy not used, and it was a nice RP emote for that as well. :-)

You're not doing anything wrong, Nyghtshade. REST doesn't actually do anything visually.
The ShieldKneel emote comes close, but it doesn't maintain the kneel.
emote ShieldKneel
Bits REST SHIELD
end
Maybe something can be used in place of the SHIELD bit.

Emote pack? Do tell!
