Since we officially opened our doors a while ago, we still hadn't made a news piece about it. So I went and did that (http://ouroportal.com/wiki/News/20090607). It's the top news piece listed on the site atm.
Additionally, I added a "Contributions Welcome" section to the right side of the main page (http://ouroportal.com/wiki/Main_Page), for a quick overview and links to the guidelines and help section. It could probably do with some wordsmithing (I'm not very good at the "stuffy historian" voice :P ) - non-admins cannot edit that page, so if you can't and would like to make suggestions, post your suggestions here or on the talk page (http://ouroportal.com/w/index.php?title=Talk:Main_Page), or my talk page (http://ouroportal.com/wiki/User_talk:Aggelakis), or just about anywhere and someone will see it and respond.
