Found it! CameraSweep is a tool that generates camera paths for COH demo files. This thing is AWESOME.
I put the last version he gave me in my Dropbox to share with folks who want to mess with it:

I'm sure that someone (read: Leandro or Codewalker) will re-engineer the thing to make it even better, but this thing is a great springboard.
EDIT: In case you get an error that it can't find the msvcr100d.dll file, you can download it (and instructions) from here:

ZOMG I LOVE YOU!
Thank you for putting this up for us. Just downloaded it and going to check it out now. Any advice going into it or is it better to just read the 'read me'?

Just go with the README. That'll get you started easily enough.
This is what I used to generate seven planes flying in the Missing Man formation at the start of my I-22 trailer. :)

Yeah just was going through the README. Just awesome!
Do you know if Balshor's CoH Demo Editor is the one to go with? I see it suggested but have never used an editor before. Found this link for it but not sure what/if or where the latest update is.

Thanks, Michelle, for the tools.
I feel very computer illiterate. I can't get the CamSweep to work for me. It keeps telling me I am missng a certain .dll file.
Is there a specific folder it needs to run from?

You may need to install it. Modified my original post with a dl link to the zip file, which also includes a readme on where it goes.

Yeah, he did a hell of a job for me. Synch had volunteered to help me if I ever needed demo tools, so I showed him a particular RIFT video (http://youtu.be/LU3Qwq9rj5k) and said, "I want something that will let me do that kind of camera work." He delivered.

I have yet to get to try this out. Any tips or tricks you guys have found with it?

Glad folks are finding it handy :) I can send someone the source if they like (and are willing to put up with the relatively-hacked-together-nature of the source...)
It's a small amount of pretty straightforward C/C++ But if I'd known it was going to be doing everything it does now when I started it, I'd have factored the code better. (ah, hindsight...)
Alternatively, if there's something you'd like it to do that it doesn't, I can probably wrangle some time to fiddle with it further.

Hi all,
I have tried about everything, but I can't get the program to work for me.
After installing the missing .dll file, all that happens, when I start up camsweeper is a very quick popup of the command window, that vanishes instantly again.
I must be doing something wrong, but what?
Is there any computer literate around, that could help?
Thanks.

You're not just clicking on CamSweeper, right? Are you actually typing it in the command window as:
c:\whateverwhateverwhatever\camsweeper.exe input.txt output.txt

What he's describing is exactly what happens when you try to run a command line only program as you would a regular one :P
-
No I did not just click the .exe file
I am getting somwhere now by pointing the start commandprompt to the actual folder holding the .exe file.
Thank you all for being so patient and helping me out.
Going to try and get some more progress in understanding computer sutff.

I asked because *I* made that mistake several times before my brain reminded me I was being an idiot. :)

Yeah, the way I use it is to launch the command shell and then cd to the directory with the tool.
Alternatively, you can type the complete path the the tool from any command shell prompt.
If you're going to be re-using the input/output file names, you could also create a shortcut with the relevant command line options - that, you could then open from the desktop, rather than the shell.

Heh, just found out from the imported code that you can use negative values for the millisecond variable. Dang, that makes custom coding everything a million times simpler.
