When the game finally comes back, that is.
Make a new character? Get on your oldest and look up as many old friends as you can? Run your favorite TF/SF? Start a new Supergroup? Or just simply get right back into the swing of things with what you left off doing?
Me? I got to where I was not managing my time well in game. I had a lot of things I loved to do to choose from; AE farming, iTrials, purple farming, PvP, lowbie missions, badging. But I always ended up just not deciding what to do. I think that when we finally get our City back, first thing I will do is contact all my friends who left for GWII and shove the wind in their face. Then, I'm going to get on my main toon, find a good spot in the Rogue Isles (yeah, I'm a hardcore vill) and just bask in the awesomeness of the game. After that, I think I'm going to have to give myself a strict schedule where all my chosen activities are planned out each day. As odd as it sounds, that will make it more fun for me.
So, what about you guys? What will you do? Will the game shutdown make you play different? Less/more?

It highly depends on in what form it comes back, and whether it includes i24.
If it includes the latter I'd probably roll several new alts, and in all likelyhood even take a few days off from work if I know ahead of time when the re-launch is. =P

Each one of my alts is going to dance, out of the sheer thrill of being able to move again. Then we're playing. And, playing some more! ;D

Oh lord, that depends so much on what servers come back and what unlocks I'll retain, and whether or not my characters are retained or importable from Sentinel+ files.
Whatever character I remake first, though, is going straight for either City Hall or Grandville. If Hero, I'm saluting Atlas's statue. If Villain, it'll be Lord Recluse's.

I admit I haven't been following the board closely, but what I see is attempts to convince companies to buy the game, and that looks to me like a long shot. With the devs already employed at other places, what are the chances that the game will come up?
There's Plan Z (well "plans Z"), and though I also don't trust in the success of these to any large extent, they still seem more plausible than getting CoH back up as it was.
Is there anything I missed?

When we get our homes back ...
1- a 5 day weekend scheduled around re-opening
2- If we get our friends back, 2 to 3 ITF back to back because I just love to stomp me some Romans...
2- If we have to remake our friends... take those 5 days and re-play every nook and cranny low level arc I skipped over the last year-ish or so in the interest of getting the new power sets cranked up a bit to see what they played like (not rush so much)
3- Play through Praetoria in its entirety ... tbh, I never did. and boooy now that I can't I regret it.
but the key to all that is When we get our home back. Cause it is... So say we all.

Spend a few thousand in game to do my part and if corporation owned and the corporation looks good, spend three times investing in said corporation. Then doing my part to make sure lack of profit, too small of a profit, too small of population and etc. will not be an issue over the years.

As a word of advice, unless the company is issuing new stocks, buying their stock doesn't technically do a thing to help their bottom line. It does help the personal wealth of the stockholders, amongst whom most executives count themselves, though.
Buying stuff in the game, though? That's the way to help with profits of the game.

I don't know. Like Knightslayer and Kaiser Tarantula have said, it really depends on what we get back. I'd really like to roll an Ill/Time controller (since I never really got around to it), but without the vet powers it would be kinda hard at first....
Well, we'll see what happens when our City is rezzed, and then I'll go from there.

Me, I'll get Segev Stormlord restored or remade, conjure up some zombies, and go pursue my research into immortality. Muhuhahahahahahahahahaha!

What will I do? First, I will give the two I left behind a big hug and place them in a seat of honor. Then I'm going to import all me toons that I saved on the extractor to their rightful place on Victory Server. (Because I am sure we'll have that once the game returns, right? ;)) If not, rebuild my primaries and start the process of trekking to 50 all over again.--This time screen shotting and demoing that journey every step of the way, especially on my favorite arcs.
After that, it's anyone's guess. Maybe an ITF--my all time favorite TF. One thing I know, I will keep a better visual track of it. Play with emotes more... And never, EVER take it for granted again.

Specifically, my goals would be: do whatever I need to do to get a Kheldian. Get that Peacebringer to 50. IO. +3. Hybrid.
Winge that if I was using the character's prior incarnations all of her powers would be colorable.
Use solar flare with the summer proc in it repeatedly.

I'd turn sound on. The last few years I played, I always kept sound and music off unless I was going to a new place for the first time, or using a new powerset for the first time.
Now, I long for those bits of music and every little sound effect.

I would have Pandimus stand under Atlas Statue holding his torch high and thank every last one of you, in broadcast, for making logging back on even possible.

Reboot or remake Vickie, Sera, Astra, and an alternate Bella (since Pinnacle Bella the CCCP Commissar is, in fact, gone now).
Hang out in AP and wait for my friends to arrive. Then fly through every zone.

Lead a mothership raid as I'm greatly missing leading them. It became something I enjoyed and looked forward to each week even after leading them for 2 years straight I never got bored of them.

If we get all our character data back, I'd revive Al E. Bubba. I'm pretty sure I left him dead on the steps of City Hall on Pinnacle after we blew ourselves up "for the cause" on the Night The Lights Went Out.
If we don't, I start rebuilding. I have my alt list and some screen shots for reference.

Another first thing I'd do, providing we kept our belongings and characters from before, is give away my entire fortune to those of you here in these forums who have helped keep me sane in these difficult times. I never had any problem making inf. I think you'd all get better use out of my billions than I would on my own.

That's the point. That's why I said invest. Meaning investing in something and hope to get some returns.
The money spent in game is my part in doing charity work. Money that when spent I dont expect monetary returns. It's gone to a good cause.

Yeah, I definitely will be allotting vacation time to spend on the game. I still remember my first CoH experience. A friend and I shared the game at first, but I didn't have a computer. (It was 2004, I was poor.) He finally offered to sell me his old pile of crap for a couple hundred and he gave the account fully to me (yeah, it was against the EULA, I know) since he was in the beta testing of WoW.
The first night I had the game all to myself in my own home, I took my hero from 18 to a about 25 (mind you, with lots of debt and the old XP scale.) It took me from 6:00 in the afternoon until about 8:00 the next morning, along with 4 Big Slam Mountain Dews and two very large bags of "orange slices" candy. I was so excited to be playing the game I had so longed to play that time was no longer a fixed construct in my mind.
I get the feeling that the re-release (or whatever) will be about like that for me.
And I will definitely be spending quite a bit in the Paragon Market. Mostly Super Packs and the account-bount enhancement sets (am I the only one who uses those?)

If we do get everything back, then I'd go on the market, see what salvage needs to be supplied, and go out salvage hunting at the right level and type.
If we don't get everything back, I'll recreate my characters one by one, level them up slowly, and get back to where I was.
Personally (and this may sound a little bad of me), I'd kind of want to do the second option more than the first.

If we retained everything? Log onto Delgran, summon the boys, and start shooting things. Then get back to his investigation of Dark Astoria.
If we don't? Pick Delgran up off the floor, reaffirm that yes, he is still a hero, then go about rebuilding his detective agency. Start from the ground up. Expand to new mercs as he gets the money for their gear. Frankenguns don't come cheap you know! Let alone those with attached rocket launchers!

Start a "Welcome Brigade" supergroup, rounding up vets willing to help the influx of newcomers get started on the right track. People tend to come into CoH with a lot of preconceptions about how the game and community works, so I'll probably just chill around and newbie-help.

I'll stare at the character selection screen for a bit, before logging in to Couper and beating down some baddies (hopefully with my incarnates) again. Then I'll make a bunch of new toons and try out the powersets and costume parts i never got to.

If everything is just as it was the last time I logged on, I'll log in to my main toon and keep trying to finish all the possible story arcs (through flashback).

I will take my elec/shield scrapper Tower of Power out, set my difficulty to +3x8 if it isn't already and kick some butt in a mission.

If I can sit still long enough (I tend to bounce and get hyper when I'm uber happy and excited, which I will be should this happen) I will log into Sara's Screams, and continue badge hunting. There were many new badges from the past year that I missed out on during my break, and I need them.
I'd also check out the supergroup base. Sadly I think I'm the last active player of my supergroup :( But I really love my base.
And then we'd go on to further our Incarnate training.

Should that happen, though, I am ready. I did not destroy my SG bases, or strip my characters of influence or IOs as many in-game friends did - I know several people who made prestige bonfires consisting of literally billions of influence. The important stuff I had stored in the bases, is being carried by my top alts in case bases go "boom." Its all being carried by about 5 alts, in case selection of characters is limited somehow.
If they wipe our account info, and I feel that this is a very likely outcome, I will begin the alpine challenge of rebuilding from the ground up. What has been done once can be done again.

The only plan I have for what I'd do if we got CoH back is to go out and fly around the zones, switching between characters to welcome back everyone that I had to say goodbye to on 11/30...

If it was available I'd get my closest friends in-game together and play through the Summer Event. I always found that so much fun. If that wasn't possible then probably play through the Synapse TF, as we left off one mission from the end. And after that my main would fly over Atlas, head to Talos, then go beat up Mot some more in DA!

I saw the City off by standing in Gemini Park and saying "until we meet again" to my friends, one by one. When the day comes, I will stand in the same place, welcoming them back as the enter, one by one.

Hmmm, the first thing? That depends on how much we get back. If all of it comes back one of my first tasks is going to be alting around to put crafted IO's back in SG bins and looking to see if I still have a Global Friends list and who's on. I'll make sure SG base maintenance is current, then go play. My first choice would be to ITF!!!! Worst case scenario, make a new "first" toon and get out there and play! (I'd probably also be telephoning and emailing friends letting them know CoH was back!) It would make me very happy to have CoH back! :)

I think I willl take time off, log in Zoser, whom I left in our SG's war room and head over to DA for some serious LEAGUEing - hugging random players as I go.

If everything is as it was when before the shutdown? I'll log in as my main, Willowbright, who had just gotten to lvl 50 the final week, fly as high as the game will let me take her, wooohoooing all the way. Then look down on the city (don't remember what zone she signed off on and just watch and "listen" for a while.
