On November 30th 2012, NCSoft shut off the greatest online superhero role-playing game ever. However, that only turned UP the resolve of it's gaming community! Join Rich (A.k.a. Pogoman) and one of the co-leaders of Paragon Dawn, Mad Vyking, as they take to the airwaves weekly to discuss the plight of the greatest gaming community in the history of the world! Tune in to see what the players are doing to bring back their beloved City! Join them in their greatest fight ever!  You can also join them in City of Heroes on the Excelsior server on the steps of City Hall in beautiful downtown Atlas Park! (That part was edited. Reinstalled Avengers and am liking it pretty well playing the campaign instead of whatever i got into last time. It's flawed but cool and suitably cinematic. A couple things that bother me are they decided that 'toggling on' sprint means you run until you jump and land and then have to toggle it on again (with the screen telling you so if it's necessary for what you're doing). Seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of what 'toggle' means. The other is that I keep getting alerts that better gear is available every two seconds but there doesn't seem to be an auto-equip better gear setting. It might be that I'm just too early on and that there's gear later you might want to keep on at a lower level but it's not shown up yet so seems an odd choice.

Generally the controls are pretty bad, but I've played worse.

Not even sure if old Mids files will work on MidsReborn, and if they did they'd be outmoded several times over by changes.

I've bought VPN lifetime licenses on a couple of occasions from StackSocial with no problem and my Win11 Pro license from Kinguin with no problem

For more recent games, I have a larger, stationary Windows PC that isn't as portable as my laptop. In the worst case, I'd just have to play CoH there going forward since I've already installed Tequilla there, but that's not my ideal option.

To the best of my knowledge, Homecoming created their own launcher a couple of years ago.  I honestly don't know if anyone else is still using or maintaining Tequila.

Last I heard Tequila was essentially unsupported by just about everyone and someone avoided for security for that reason.

Dang notifications, I missed this post too!

Well, the way I found this place selling the cheap Windows 11 licenses was by googling for Windows 11 prices. Then this place, StackSocial, lit up like a pinball machine all over my search pointing out this deal.

I sent them mail to get verification, too! We went back and forth in e-mail until I got them to clearly verify that this was Windows 11 for a new PC and with 3 licenses. They were quick to respond and didn't mind putting things in writing.

StackSocial also seems to have mostly positive reviews (4.73/5 stars on the BBB website for example) and has been around for awhile (12 years?). I also found positive articles from known sources such as this: https://www.cnet.com/deals/save-172-on-a-windows-11-pro-license-before-this-deal-runs-out/

So I checked things out before posting! Didn't order yet, though. Hopefully I'll get around to it before time runs out..

Dang man I seem to have been knocked off of the notify of new posts list otherwise I'd've replied sooner. Did try removing myself and re-adding awhile back but it didn't seem to work.

Anyway! Thanks for the welcome. Didn't make it past the sign-in, tho. Got stuck on a username and then saw something shiny and there I went. I'll give'er another try soonish.

Man I wish I had my old Mids files!! Lost them a couple of years back along with some other nostalgic stuff including EverQuest screenies I'd been carrying around from nearly 25 years ago. I'd pretty much reached my goals for TW/Ele Brute and Claws/Fire Brute (thanks in part to how cheap stuff got at the end) and would do it exactly the same all over again.
