Ranged Vs. Melee in CO

In COX, I tended to play melee toons.

In CO, I found that I enjoy ranged toons much more. (Though I do enjoy Bestial Supernatural a lot.)

What about anyone else? Any difference is what you prefer in CO compared to COX?

When I played CoH in the beginning (before respecs even!) I played any and everything. I couldn't stop making toons and had at least two servers filled up with them and they all were very different. There were no purples or set bonuses or ED.

I played ~ 99.21% melee in CoH when I came back to it for it's last year+.

If I could play today I might be back in ranged or support mode, who knows. I like variety.

I was all melee in CO in the beginning - largely thanks to the CoH habit I picked up probly. Now I play both + support about equally like I did in CoH in the beginning, switching depending on mood or for farming Q/Justice components.

CoH does all classes/AT's/whatever well but it does melee really well. I played a lot of melee toons before CoH but I never Really played a melee toon before CoH.

I can't seem to find a reason to favor one over the other.

If I feel like killing stuff before it sees me, I play ranged. If I feel like charging into a group and smashing their faces, it's melee.

Annnnd.

I dunno how to say it but when I'm in 'n00bs, you may now go from being whipped to death in the past X amount of Alerts to seeing what it's like to pwn them, then lets do it' mode, I play Support.

When the new Rampages were brand new and everyone was flipping out I played Support.

When I want to see a team be able to team out if they want to vs. just survive then I go Support.

Lots of teams don't need Support at all but I think j00 all get it.



Just had to make sure we don't forget Support. You know their reputation for praise-need... *ahem* *cough* "Thanks for the heals!" /puke. : )
