 I spent years making AV Killer defenders and controllers...best ones were Dark Defender, Rad/Emp Defender and Grav/Emp Controller...my Warshade was built for Squid form and was my pvp killing machine...

 As you can tell im a backwards player...I can tank with anything except...you guessed it...a Tank!!!

 I love what your doing Burnt Toast...I know almost everyone in the game built Tanks and Scrappers...but I need help :)

 For someone like me who does not know how to tank...can you rebuild my Stone/Stone Tank using Mids and give me advice on how to run it properly? I don't have a clue how to set up the enhancements either...but cost was not much of an issue for me, I know how to get them and make influence...so Hami-O and Armagheddons are not an issue.

 I had been on Tuesday tank run days but they just ran around killing things, they don't teach you anything...I need advice, my build could hold up but I saw other tanks that can stand still for minutes with no problems...I had to kill quickly so I did not fall.

 Only powers I liked having that I would like to keep are the stone fist and stone mallet ones...but ill let you decide whats best.
 One other thing...I don't do SJ/SS I use FLY...I have Multiple Sclerosis...so my playstyle is different...I prefer to fly to an area and drop down on enemies...upsets them a lot :) When I had SJ/SS I ran and got stuck on things constantly. Pre-Incarnates you had to take Air Superiority before Fly, im still ok with that...I have no use for Hover. With a 3 slotted Fly enhancements in Fly I got good speed, no need for the supersonic. I would like to have fly before level 10 if possible.

 (addendum) no Incarnate stuff please and this is a PvE Team build not PvP...Thank you :)

Here ya be. Not sure how your playstyle is, so I went with mine (more or less). Feel free to change as you see fit. I personally would have lost the teammate rez and grabbed acrobatics to give a little mez protection. Otherwise, be prepared to pop a lot of skittles to keep from being mezzed.

I should have mentioned I would have not wanted Elixer of Life nor Antitdote (nor Alkaloid for that matter). I think those powers would be marginally useful at best... at least for my play style.
I loved that you were able to pump up the ranged D as far as you did. I do wonder if it's really needed as base Weaken and Fearsome stare will give a 15% -tohit each and can be combined with BU (and slotting) to give a huge ~80% -tohit.

I used your build to give me a better idea of what I think will work with my playstyle.
I'm still not sure how to handle slotting for Haunt and Umbra Beast.
I don't know how much Defense will be enough for end game content.
I wish I had a better idea of how well Haunt would function against some big game. i.e. Would some extra defense or resistance pet procs really help much or is that not really necessary.

Remember, those pet def and resist procs buff ALL your pets, so even if haunt can't/won't benefit from them, your Umbra Beast thingy will be awesome because of it. That's why I slot those things in Storm powers to get me the best protection cheaply for my real pets.

And, while I agree that your -to hit moves will be great (even without BU), I never rely on that (played too many Rad and Dark toons that rely on that before a fight, and I always faceplanted). Better to have at least some Range/En/Neg defenses before you can set up those debuffs. Feel free to lower that defense and focus on what you wanted though. I just always try to get 45% def to something, even on toons that are straight up resistance toons (my Elec armor tank had like 35% def to Melee or S/L, can't remember, just because of how I slotted him).

Can anyone make me a TANKER that does decent damage WITHOUT being a Fire Aura tanker? I tried a Shield/Dark once that was good(ish) but would love to have a better build if you think you got one. Go nuts on expense (as I plan on making this a Farming Toon once our game comes back to us).

I'd recommend Shield/Fire, Elec/TW, Elec/SS and Elec/Fire.

My favorite one is Elec/TW because it's so strong overall. While farming, you might be able to use red insp bursts in one of those short AE missions in order to compensate for the lack of self damage buffs. Here's the build I made a while ago (one purp insp from ranged/aoe softcap):

That is an odd choice of powers. You didn't grab aim or your nuke? I would have grabbed at least one of those. I never rely on veng and you don't really need Maneuvers; I would have grabbed tough at least to go with your other togg from Soul Mastery. Maximize your single target damage toons (I would use various franken slotting or at least grab a couple set bonuses that give you some decent regen/HP/Recovery). Get a decent set in your siren's song to make ample use of your single target damage, debuffing as needed especially if you are blapping (Time Juncture). Maximize on the +acc or +ToHit as you will really need it to make sure some of those debuffs work. And you need a heap of +RC to get some of those cooler powers up perma. And make sure that pet of yours is up a lot, and can hit for some decent damage. You will love having a "personal assistant" ;)

 That's how I would handle your toon.

Feel free to change whatever. Didn't go with aim+nuke since defender nukes are fairly weak outside of blizzard. Maneuvers is useful when exemping and against def debuff foes, it's also an lotg slot and guarantees a soft cap for your pet and allies. Vengeance was my last pick and is just a nice thing to have against cimerorans and as an lotg slot.

You can go with nuke+aim, I've come to the conclusion that there really aren't much better alternatives and there's synergy with Soul Drain.

About your build:

1. You're missing out on recharge for temporal mending and selection.
2. You could've gotten some extra recharge from time stop if you slotted two extra slots in it.
3. Shockwave could fit some more procs in it
4. Slowed Response could use the -res IO
5. Pet summon could've had the +recharge IO set.
6. Maneuvers is missing an LotG.
7. Soul Drain doesn't need that many slots.

This is the one I built, enough recharge to run the shriek->scream attack chain somewhat effectively and the howl->shockwave chain with pretty much no gap inbetween:

I think the Epic/Ancillary Pool pets were only able to be summoned once every 15 minutes no matter how much recharge there was.  The def % we see, are they Clarion boosted defense with the 60% boost over 25 seconds or the 10% boost over 90 seconds?  I would build for softcap defense without Clarion and use it to hit isoftcap for incarnate content but then again Time Juncture's -ToHit debuff is so massive, it's probably not even needed.  So used to MM numbers, forget how strong other AT's are.  Enough recharge to make Hasten and Chrono Shift perma.  Frankenslot attacks to either utilize procs or to get more hitpoints/regen.  Or maybe try get enough recharge to Howl/Shockwave groups continuously, debuffing and KDing everyone until dead.  I went with hitpoints/regen.

So the reason that works is because its a "click" type power? What other click-buffs besides Defense ones would benefit from that Incarnate power? That could make for some real mean toons. For instance, how did it work on things like ForceField Generator from the TRAPS Set? If I activated it AFTER clicking Clarion, would its defense buff be up until it was destroyed or I zoned, because that would be so sweet.

And since we are talking Incarnate stuff, who here remembers what Lore Pets they liked and why? I saw that the Phantom one had an Adrenaline Boost in it that it could fire off like twice before it went down. Anything else that was as good or better?

FFG was a summon, not a buff. Therefore its benefits were temporary just like other toggles.

Click powers other than Farsight that benefit from Clarion are:

1. Forcefield shields
2. Cold shields
3. Group Invisibility
4. Fortitude (but only one or two people get peak buffs)
5. Vengeance (usually overkill)
6. Mind Link (but the duration is only 90 seconds)
7. Fade for controllers (but the duration is only 60 seconds)

Looks like it buffs anything that heals (not regen or +HP), end drain or endurance decreases, all +/-ToHit/Def, and the duration of control powers. That thing is wicked mean for controllers/Dominators/Widows. Good gawd, what a kickin self buff.
