Will Coralax make this build really happy?
« on: December 27, 2014, 10:06:39 PM »
I was parusing the old forums (at webarchive) and saw an old post concerning Sonic/ defending. Deacon was saying that the Coralax pet would actually melee. Can anyone confirm this?

What I've come up with is a themed Sonic/H20/Lev build that integrates very well, IMO. It offers good resist/mez prot/kdownaplenty/stuns/immob/3 ohcrud powers/buffs/de-buffs/ok defense/some healing and even reasonable damage.

As far as I can see, it looks like the only really problem with this combo would be solo damage for groups seems a little light. I could see stunned groups coming out of the stun before they are arrested leaving me open to a decent alpha. This could be fixed if the Coralax pet will go into melee so I can fit him with Disruption Field.

Have a look and tell me what you think. Should I add this guy to the list of ever growing characters I will have to make if/when the game comes back?

As always, any input is appreciated.

The power information for the summons is:
Summon Coralax Red Hybrid (PL_FightPreferRanged) at Target for 240s

So... I would guess that the Red Hybrid does not usually close to melee range.
The Controller/Dominator Coralax summons is also ranged.
The Tanker/Brute version seems to be melee.

Well that's no fun.  >:(

Actually, Deacon was saying that the Coralax had some ranged attacks but then moved in for melee.

Either way, I have several defenders on a higher priority list than this guy.
Naff/DP, TA/Sonic, Time/Ice and Traps/Dark to name a few. :)
