Shield Defense/Street Justice Refinement

So, I woke after a dream of CoX itching to make a build, and I decided to roll a Tanker that played in a similar manner to the first Avenger, because a friend of mine who has never played game practically has a shrine to Cap, and I was planning to use the build as way to lure him in. Obviously going to warn him about costume the straddle the line between homage and expy. So I threw together something while taking inspiration from a few of the older posts on these boards that use Shield Defense, since I didn't see any that used Street Justice I winged it a bit. Unlike many CoXer's, however, I stuck to one character, a Corruptor. So I don't really have much experience with other ATs. This seems functional, and not too high-end, however, I thought it couldn't hurt to get some opinions to refine the build.

Just gave a quick glance but my guess is if you have to have maneuvers and the pvp 3% to softcap a shield tank there's something off somewhere. Offhand I'd dump the 6 slotted numina and 5 slotted aegises. I'll give it a longer look later if no one beats me to it.

Did some work on it staying with the powers you picked apart from maneuvers. Got you a lot more HP/regen, similar resist numbers (yours were deceptive because you had the tanker ATO proc on and all the incarnate stuff on), similar accuracy, a bit more recharge, still softcapped without the pvp +def IO. I left the panacea out but left a slot for it if you really want it. There's also an empty slot in combat jumping which could be used to put another perfect zinger proc somewhere, presumably in rib cracker, or what i'd recommend is to use it as a second slot for hasten replacing assault (have to switch out a 50 placed slot in deflection for the empty one. i'd saved this version before i noticed that). If you went that way plus spiritual core you would have perma-hasten and shield charge up about every 23 seconds (no perma and probably about 28 seconds without spiritual). The added up-time for combat readiness plus your heavy hitters being up more often would more than make up for assault's 10% damage.

I think Captain America would more likely be a scrapper than a tank.

Superman, Thor, or Colossus would be a tank, not CA.

@hurple I considered that, but I ended up thinking about it like this: Doesn't he do what he does in order to protect people? It seems to me he'd be more likely to place himself between, say, hostages and a villain, focusing on the defense of the innocent, rather than launching himself at the villain if there was a risk the hostages would suffer because of that.

Yeah, I would have made him a scrapper too, but I like your rationale. Plus, Cap aint the best at damage, so tank vs scrapper continues to make sense. But your friend or you could make him a scrapper and do some really crippling damage with some ok defenses/resistances. I made one as a scrapper and he was a Taskmaster wannabe and he was really fun at crippling things.

Since you went with a tanker, have you considered going for the incarnate softcap (58.75%)? Certainly doable, though you'd have to make a few sacrifices here and there.
