I find this bug also happens a lot when I make a costume in Icon even though it's a legitimate costume.
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

Here's Ms Liberty's belt and sword,  shoulder and arm bracelet which appear to be the only unique parts. I've also included Praetor Duncan (Dominatrix)

This may sound silly but I'm having a hard time finding Statesman and Hero 1's respected capes. Is there a code for them or a location in the dev creator that i'm overlooking?(wish they were listed under mantle or high collar)

As I recall, Statesman's cape is under the shoulder section if you use Icon in Dev mode. I seem to recall Tyrant's stuff being under belts though, so you might check there too.
I used CIT before they even joined the Titan network! But then I left for a long ol' time, and came back. Now I edit the wiki.

Maybe it's just hiding from me, or it was removed. I've seen Tyrant's armor pieces and everything from statesman aside from his cape and brooch. Bah!!!

I think statesman was one of those that had a costume prefix required for some of the pieces like lord recluse. I'll look around though if possible this weekend.

I used beNPC a while back and saved a Statesman costume (the manual typing in-game save that ends up in the data folder). I don't really know how to interpret things, but I've got a few items in the file that may be interesting. Chest Detail, Shoulders, Neck, and Back are all preceded by "none" in the various variable fields, which leads me to believe they are not where the cape is (compared to things like Pants and Chest which have "Statesman" type stuff in those fields).

However, there are two entries that do have stuff:

15,"Statesman","Statesman","none","Collar",-30388,-

17,"GEO_Capeharness_Statesman","none","none","Cape",-30388,-

The cape entry also has, unlike everything else, some words that follow a lot of numbers (everything else is just numbers until the next entry title):

17,"GEO_Capeharness_Statesman","none","none","Cape",-30388,-16769280,0,12499199, [a lot of zeroes cut for space in the post],"Capes\Hero\Statesman\Cape_Statesman.fx",16746828,7936,0,0

I just remembered: I was trying to make a Zombie Statesman (succeeded reasonably well) and couldn't get the cape through the normal costume creator. But beNPC has it, so you'll likely have to use the database editing trick if you want it on your own characters.

I've been messing around trying to dig out the Knives of Artemis pieces, because how bad did I lust after those in game?   I have most of them figured out, but I'm having trouble with the neck piece (the modified reaver mask) and the glove detail with the little crossbow.  Any and all help to dig those last two pieces out would be really appreciated!  I'm also happy to post up (once I pull it back out of my database) all the pieces I have so far (the chest, scabbard, eye piece, boots, tights, top).

I can tell you right now they don't.  The geometry paths are pre-GR, so you have to dig for them. Which I've done, and I'm trying to dig out of my database to upload as well.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for all the work you've put into this.  I'm so excited I can finally have a true  Carnie costume!   ;D

Now if I could just get my hands on all the Cabal pieces.  I hate the way the hat they let us have doesn't have hair.  *wink wink, nudge*  <3

So I totally didn't think I could figure this out without help, but I got ambitious and, lo, I managed to figure out some of the Cabal pieces all on my own!  I haven't looked through all of them yet, but I will add more if I find any.  Here they are in case anyone else wants them:

Decided to pop back in here and see how things were going.  I just wanted to note that, to the best of my knowledge, the only npcs built like Recluse are the ones from CoV.  Even if I haven't found all of their parts, I haven't seen evidence of this design before or after.

I have it on character 1 costume 2, so you just need to change those two parameters for whichever toon you want it on.

So it looks like that's the case.  I just updated Lord Recluse, Black Scorpion and Mako using the information from Floride as a starting point.  I've also updated Babs and Shadow Hunter and added Nemesis Monstrosity.  These are available at the link I previously provided.  I haven't gotten to update the zip yet.

So how do I turn this into a costume?  Is there a trick to this?
The answer to both questions is editing paragonchat.db using a database editing program.
Before someone asks how... these programs are not very user friendly and it can be extremely difficult to diagnose over forums if and when mistakes were made.

Also, there are 3 costume pieces that aren't costume pieces on Recluse: his waist cape, his crab back pack, and his glow eyes. These are invalid FX that will make you invisible to others. You would need to edit them out to be seen.
I think PownUnoobs was working on translating my Recluse into a working costume file but I haven't checked.
