Ready for a Little Mayhem?
« on: August 21, 2015, 01:02:36 AM »
Play as a villain.

Yes, this is a start, and it's not really your character, but I can see some promise in it. Think it will be a hit?
Stay tuned for announcements on the official forum of focused playtests and "with the devs" playtests.

Not good enough.  If I wanted to play a villain I'd prefer to make my own instead of a blatant rip-off of DCUO's play as an official DC character mode.  I read in the article even the "devices" are only one use only, even.

If they weren't and whatnot then pvp scrub crybabies would demand a nerf on them.  Bet it'll happen anyways and then people who bought them will feel even more ripped off.

This is yet another minimum effort to what people had asked for, for years.  Whats next I wonder, a minimalistic foundary thats as follows:

"Choose one of three missions: Super Easy kill all, boring escort mission, or holy trinity rampage with an easy enemy.  Then choose only one of three enemy types.....viper, destroids or DEMON, and end boss choice for all three being the same for each group and presto!  Now you get to write a couple paragraphs no more no less and that'll be all you get to make for a player made map!  Forget about your own villain group designs or plots, we provide all that for you with the lamest possible stuff!  This'll be even less comprehensive than the nemesis system, and we'll expect you to open at least 30-40 lockboxes to use it!  Won't that be great!?  Oh yeah we'll remove the exp after the try-hards complain, after all, we had to bait you guys somehow."
Currently; Not doing any streaming, found myself with less time available recently.  Still playing starbound periodically, though I am thinking of trying other games.  Don't tell me to play mmohtg's though please :).  Getting back into participating in VO and the successors again to.

I'm not a PVP kind of guy, but I think it sounds fun enough that I'll give it a try.

C'mon ... who doesn't want to be Grond in MC? :D

I like that they're using Gravitar's outfut from the pen and paper version of champs. I was told all the old marvel stuff is still in COs code... So I just guessed they used White Queen's outfit for her and made it black.

I tried this on Pts and oh... The server felt like it was massively overwhelmed. 1 minute delays on chat. My Grond form (and he didn't talk darn it) couldn't really attack anything. Three Gronds were fighting each other then went to attack NPCs and the lag kept me from going with them.

For anyone curious: Grond 5.5 mil hp, Medusa and Gravitar 3 mil hp. And MCPD power armor can destroy them like a PvP door drone in CoH (anti grief feature I sure). A player hero was able to mez me a few times as well (ravens wood device?)

Rewards for this seem to be placeholders. They were just re skinned justice gear. And yes, primaries only. Someone should suggest slottable secondaries ... I miss having balanced stats that mattered out side of AoPM.
