Paragon Chat download issues.
« on: September 03, 2015, 10:44:41 PM »
Let me dump some basics first.
I have CoH with Icon already.
I am on a mac. 10.6.8

Now here's the issue.
I have tried running Island Rum. It "Launched" and immediately closed multiple times.
I have the paragon chat exe file, but I can't find the I24 or CoHBeta folder to put it in.

How do I get paragon chat?

When Island Rum starts up for the first time, it will ask you where you want to locate your game install, and then it will download all the files for you.  Make sure to point it to a folder and not an application.

But it's not starting up.

There are no windows, there is no application. It appears in my dock for a half second and vanishes, having done nothing.

Which doesn't start up, Paragon Chat.exe or Island Rum?

Island rum.

I haven't tried to launch paragon chat exe because it's meant to be put in the I24 or CoHBeta file first.

Try re-downloading it, maybe the download was corrupted.

Still the same. Can you just tell me how to find the I24 or CoHbeta file?

They're individual files downloaded by Island Rum.

I found the problem:  Island Rum is compiled with Unity 3D 5.0, which does not support OSX below 10.7.  Time to upgrade!
