When my PITA died, I thought I'd get along with one cat. Then I realized my one cat was depressed and had to get a second one for him. Then a few months ago, I fell in love with an adoptable kitten being fostered at the pet store I get their food at... well, she had to come home, too. Luckily, I'm at max-cat-capacity for our condo association, so I can't actually complete my ascension to Crazy Cat Lady.
All this to say ... you may be surprised.
