I suppose this is the right part of the forum for this.

I procrastinated and decided to see what sort of stuff from classic games I could and couldn't do, I got stumped on the Lens of truth from Zelda OOT/MM, but then after a few suggestions and a few days thinking about the possible ways to do it I finally completed a working lens of truth in blender 249.

if you have blender 249b and python installed you can check it out.

you might need to apply these textures I'm not sure.

press "c" to activate/deactivate the lens, it's not perfect but it works.

you can also move around with the arrow keys.

other things I've gotten stumped on in the past (most of which are also from Zelda games oddly) but figured out include: ghoma's disintegration animation when defeated (OOT) (it's a mesh swap+animated texture+shapekeys), player location spawning sand pits (Wind Waker) [Displacement map set to non-repeat and fed the player's movement object name (Does not use UV mapping!!!, Object mapping Only) and some other things.
