I also never got a chance to make this secondary build for my Crab Spider. I had a pretty good AoE Ranged Blaster style build but I never got a chance to make the secondary Tank Build

This would have had Perma Hasten, Perma Serum and Softcapped to all the positions.

There was talk that all the buff/debuff sets would eventually get proliferated (with the likely exception of Pain Dom and Empathy) to all ATs with support sets.  I edited an i23 version of Mids to copy a few power sets that I wanted to see on other ATs.  Mostly I was curious about Cold Dom and Rad for MMs and Traps for Controllers.  I even copied Empathy to MMs because why not?

I was most excited about Cold Dom for MMs, especially paired with what I consider one of the "big 3" primaries - Bots, Thugs and Demons.

Here I'll share the Bots/Cold build.  Please note that you will not be able to open it with your version of Mids, since you won't have my db edits.

The highlights (with Agility Radial Paragon):

Perma Hasten
Not quite perma Benumb (31.87 second recharge for 30 second duration)
Not quite perma Heat Loss (97.78 second recharge for 90 second duration)
Frostwork recharges in 16.3 seconds, allowing me to keep max HP on all Bots, if I'm diligent.
Drones and Assault Bot have 55.8% Def to Melee and Range, 70.8% to AOE
Protector Bots have 45.29% Def to Melee and Range, 60.3% to AOE
Resistance values aren't notable, with the exception of Cold which is 75%.  L, F, E, P are all ~30ish%, the rest 10%.

For me, S/L Def is around 65%, E Def is 55%.  All the others are ~40ish%.  HP is at 1080, regen is 11.7 HP/sec.

I would very confidently take this character into solo battles against the biggest and baddest in the game.  Not only are the bots soft-capped defensively, their HP is maxed out, which no other MM can do.  Cold debuffs are, of course, outstanding, both for big game hunting (Benumb, Infrigidate) and aoe (Sleet, Heat Loss, Snow Storm).

I asked in another thread if anyone knew what minion HP and max HP was.  I got a response but I'm very confident it wasn't correct.  I wish it was, a MM could just walk into any fight and do absolutely nothing, no buffing, no debuffing, if the boss pet had 2500hp and lieuts had ~860.  My slotting of Frostwork might change since I'm sure current slotting is capped by max hp pretty easily (buff of 846hp), but that's ok, it would still be handy for Brutes and other players.

I also made builds for the following and will share them as time allows (I have to write up a summary like this since no one can open the build in their version of Mids)

Ill/Traps Controller (Illusion with an immob, giving containment possibilities for tough targets)
Fire/Traps Controller
Demon/Rad MM
Thugs/Emp MM
Ninja/Kin MM, because I wanted to make one that would cause me to pull my hair out, sort of the opposite of the Bots/Cold.

Demon/Rad would be so cool...and mean! I bet you would tear through content so fast.

As for your non-perma benumb, you were off by like 1.87 sec iirc, would the animation time to cast it offset that time difference? If so, you are ready to cast as soon as its "off" which ain't bad.

I think you stumbled on to why Cold Dom was never sent to the MMs. That amount of health/def/damage/soft controls is TOO much power for one MM to have. jk

I always wanted a Bots/Rad myself, thematically it made perfect sense to me. Again, with all those debuffs/buffs/heals, how could those lil bots ever die?

Im only thinking about build that were actually available...

Here is a build I had planned to replace a Elec/Psi Dominator I had.. I think I would have like this Mind/Elec build much better.

I did a Mind/Elec dom once, not much for survival/dmg but it had controls that everyone envied. She was my lil Jedi (called her Jed I Am) and she had like three ways to lock down big groups. Mistake I made was not going for PermaDom, never did that with a Dominator like a dumass.

This was "close" to what I had planned for Jed I Am. Take a look.

I didn't actually get a travel power on this toon. However, I used Ninja Run and got really good at using it to get to place to place. And, while I did NOT get Perma Dom, I only used Domination as a blue bar restorer and "break free" so if you rotate between Indomitable Will and Domination, you have enough mez protection perma, so that was ok for me. I focused on Range/Energy/Negative defenses so I could lock down groups, close the gap with Melee Attacks on ones that could be taken easily, back peddle my happy azz out of melee range when the controls wore off, then range attacked the others until I could lock them down again. Was effective and very useful to the team as a "Oh Crap, we pulled too many!" protection toon (three different ways to lock down groups ala Mass Confusion/Mass Hypnosis/Total Domination).

IMHO Mass Hypnosis was really a dam fine power IF teammates didn't spam AoEs at the mobs. Its recharge was so fast, I could use it two to three times in a big room alone. Was so easy to break its control BUT when soloing, I would single target choose who to "wake up" and pummel them mercilessly. Was hellafun to play.

Never actually designed a build for it, but I wish I had the chance to play my Water/Energy Blaster all the way to 50.  It was looking like he could've been fun.

I have too many builds to count but I've been trying to choose just one combo for nearly every archetype for when the game returns.  Dominators and scrappers were always my favorite to play so I'll probably have one of them as my main.  Here's a build that I just threw together.  I wanted to make an all out pyromaniac with insane damage.  I'm not quite sure how well this Dom would survive but it sems like a fun time.

Perma Domination
Perma Hasten
High S/L/F Resistance
Decent 22% Ranged defense

I'm not quite sure how well this Dom would survive

Well if permadom, hot feet, flashfire and things being generally dead isn't enough for survival you could always respec into the broken bonfire with the -kb IO :D

Yeah I was thinking about substituting bonfire for something. I never really had a chance to see the -kb proc in effect. How did it work in bonfire?

It was completely broken to the point that I can't believe they didn't make it not work in that power after about a week. Whole mobs unable to act for 45 seconds and the base recharge was 60 so it could be up every mob very easily. Oh and bonfire was available on blasters which I never got a chance to try but had to be just silly.

Broken beyond belief.. SO broken in fact that I took it off one of my toons..

There was a planned fix for that

Bonfire and Tornado now have their chance to knock per power tick reduced by 60% when Overwhelming Force: Knockback to Knockdown is slotted in the power. This brings the mitigation from these powers on par with Ice Slick or similar powers, while retaining their damage dealing capability.

I have one pretty similar to yours HEATSTROKE.  Is there a reason you don't slot the purple procs into your powers? I usually leave out the Dam/Rech and slot the proc cause the benefit is greater than the 5% damage increase and the global recharge is already insanely high. Here's mine  :D

Im kinda funny with builds. I dont take procs for the sake of taking them. In this case the toon is an electric/energy based character. So I wouldnt take a proc that does negative or fire damage because it doesnt blend with his origin or abilities

I was reading the other forum and always wanted another Illusion Troller but don't want the typical /dark, /rad, or /kin secondaries. Any thoughts to Poison or Nature Affinity for a decent secondary?

poison would be fine. it's a little busy but you might want that since high end illusion can be a bit dull. can't speak to nature but the debuffs and buffs would work well.

/cold and /time are beasts as well. unfortunately trollers never got /traps 'cause that would be hilarious to play.

Thought of storm too after I posted. Can't do Cold though, no extra control moves to help me with containment.

I didnt see that many Illusion/Dark and its a very awesome build..

I would suspect Illusion/Time would be very strong as well. The recharge bonus from Chrono shift would be a huge help..

Had a buddy with an Illusion/Storm called Spectral Nimbus.. It was quite good..

Illusion/Storm/Leviathan gave me Phantom Army,Spectral Terror,Phantasm,Snow Storm,Freezing Rain,Hurricane,Tornado(with the KD io)Lightning Storm,Water Spout and a Coralax.You could tank,
be invisible, confuse and hold.My Earth Storm gave me more debuff, holds and slows but PA is so
nice to have.Illusion/Rad can get perma PA without purples or Incarnate and so can Time.I did have
a Illusion/Cold that with almost perma PA + Sleet + Ice Storm was great for teams.I never did run
it solo and there were always others with holds.

I like what you did there. I was gonna suggest you move the last Troller IO set piece back down to get the +5% def to Range, but I like it in the single target hold damaging power. Since that is (for the longest time) the only one of two attack powers you have, having it do max damage like you did is a pretty impressive idea. Also, epic slotting for PA, love the massive recharge you got on it.

I had a possible glitch on my Mids builder though. It appears that the Agility incarnate buff had no effect on phantom army's recharge time? Any thoughts on what that glitch is about?

Check out my build for ILL Time Leviathan below. Any suggestions are welcome.

I think you should have the AOE heal cause I kinda feel like those powers are necessities. I'm not really sure what you could drop for it though.  You can probably move a slot from Weave somewhere else if you want to help out another power.  Other than that it looks pretty awesome and well rounded.

I made 2 Illusion/Time builds in the controller section that have no ATO,purple or Incarnate added in if you want to see what you can do with just set io's.

I'm just sad I didn't realize how well Clarion Radial Epiphany worked with Time until now. Not only do you get mez protection, you also get +7.5% defense to everything due to the +Special buff working with Farsight. Could you imagine a Fire/Time/Dark corr with that? Tons of damage, defense, mez protection, and permanent Soul Drain with Dark Consumption to keep your endurance up.

Edit: This build is what I mean, softcapped to ranged with Clarion+Farsight and anything that doesn't deal ranged damage gets hit by a ToHit debuff (Time's Juncture) which floors its accuracy.

Ill/Time/Fire is great also, but the low AoE damage for controllers is a bit of an issue for me even with Fireball.

Dam man, that Clarion plus your Alpha slot was pretty much made for that type of toon! I like what you did but changed it up a bit (LOTS of bright PURPLES in my build :P). Got rid of Flares because with the recharge you now have on Fire Blast, you can spam it (and after adding the chance of Build up Proc in it, why wouldn't you spam it). Since Flares is gone, I grabbed you AIM as it now recharges fast and gives you quite a bit of a ToHit buff and a decent damage spike to your attacks for 10 seconds. Plus, who doesn't like hitting AIM or Build Up and unleashing unholy hell with all those AoE/PBAoEs you got (I would definitely use it before doing Soul Drain and/or Dark Consumption myself). Let me know what you think.

Flares is part of my attack chain. Blaze->Fire Blast->Flares is much better than Fire Blast -> Blaze -> Fire Blast -> 1 second of doing noting.

Aim isn't needed when my accuracy and damage bonuses are pretty high already. Even without Clarion increasing the ToHit buff on Farsight, I can hit +4 mobs with every power. Plus, the time it takes to cast Aim combined with the diminishing returns I get on damage buffs due to Soul Drain and set bonuses makes it useless against AV's and only marginally useful for AoE's.

As for the build you posted, there's a lot of unnecessary slotting in there. Think about what you're trying to get and cut out the stuff in the way. Here are some goals to set for building:

1. Enough recharge to perma Hasten, Soul Drain, and Chrono Shift.
2. Enough recharge for your attack chain.
3. Softcapped defenses.
4. Endurance stability.
5. Damage bonuses.
6. Getting the most out of your powers (for example, 2-slotting temporal mending and temporal selection doesn't utilize them very well).

Why would there be downtime between your attack chain in my build? Doesn't the recharge time start upon activation or does it wait until after casting time?

After looking at your build, I realized I thought my recovery was much better but that was because I had the Accolades for +End+HP all highlighted whereas you did not. Your recovery is much better. And I suppose melee defense isn't very necessary as by the time they get in melee range, your time juncture has debuffed their ToHit by a huge amount.

Now I am curious what an Ice/Time/Dark would be capable of, I always liked ice's range nuke, and getting a massive ToHit/Dmg buff from Dark and Time would really make Ice Storm and Blizzard hit real hard.

Recharge timer starts after cast time.

Ice's damage is inferior to Fire in both AoE and single target damage. Where Ice Blast shines is in its recharge debuffs, holds (but Time has a boss-level hold already in Time Crawl+Time Stop) and its Nuke (this build runs 5 toggles, it'd be kind of annoying having to turn them back on every time).

Yeah, I see that. Dam, must have remembered when the recharge clock started.

I never worried about having to reset all the toggs though. If everything is melting and I needed to pop a blue anyways, what's the harm in resetting the toggles again. Plus, with all the click buffs from Time, Dark Epic and Clarion, I still got lots of protection coming my way. And I never trusted the aoe holds from Distortion field to always hit. Wasn't it a chance of hold? I knew it got buffed if you debuffed them with the first power in Time's set. Was it really that reliable? And, while Ice's main powers were less than Fire's for dmg, especially AoE dmg, you got a ton of soft controls with Ice. Recharge debuffs all over the place, same with slows and such. Made the bad guys dam near crawl anywhere they wanted to go. Only thing I wish I had was a decent pet, but Lore Pets count so that would be so sweet to add one that did huge damage to the mix.

Having multiple ways to hold a single target was one of the reasons I like my Dark/Ice Defender. Not sure how well that combo works with corruptors though. I don't think I ever tried it as a Corruptor because the buffs/debuffs were less. But with Clarion buffing the beejeezus out of my powers, a Corruptor might be pretty dam cool.

Hey Auroxis, what do you do for the 30 seconds Clarion is down? Just trying to make sure I am prepared for it falling off my toons. I assume you would pop a purple and a breakfree to keep the defenses and mez protection up.

I was reading the other forum and always wanted another Illusion Troller but don't want the typical /dark, /rad, or /kin secondaries. Any thoughts to Poison or Nature Affinity for a decent secondary?

Poison works great for Illusion, better than for most primaries. You get an every-spawn control power that sets up Containment (Poison Gas Trap), and can also be set up with IOs for AoE damage. Illusion lacks both AoE damage and AoE Containment to leverage epic pool AoEs. Illusion is solid enough at lower levels to make up for Poison's low-level weaknesses. All in all, while I wouldn't call it a top build overall, Illusion is one of the better picks for /Poison, and /Poison is probably the best pick for Illusion other than the ones that give +Recharge so you can have perma-PA more easily.

Between the soft capped defenses and 75% uptime of mez protection, you could probably do with just a few break frees for most content.

Nice. Kinda what I figured. Wonder why I never grabbed Clarion when the game was on? I know I toyed with the Barrier and the team heal one a few times. Thing is, I usually play toons that buff/debuff. Love my Trollers/Defenders/MMs/even Corruptors although I don't think any of my MMs got farther than the Alpha slot. Shame, always liked my henchmen.

Oh and Brothermutant if you're worried about clarion going down, take core. You lose the range buff but get full 120s mez.

Nice! Range is subjective anyways imho. I can always slot for range; can't always get mez protection (not without sacrificing something else usually).

You also lose 7.5% defense to everything though.

Made some changes to the Fire/Time/Dark Corr build:

1. Got rid of Distortion Field since its usage was very limited (to keep mobs in Rain of Fire, which Time's Juncture already does a bit).
2. Replaced it with Soul Transfer which is a fantastic self-rez, counters defense failcascades really well.
3. Changed Flares slotting to be more endurance friendly and provide extra recharge in case I don't manage to cast Chrono Shift in time.
4. Slotted the panacea proc since endurance is hella tight in this build.

Was just kind of piddling around in mids and made a dm/bio stalker, never to be actually built 'cause how often do you really need a melee single target specialist. But wow, hadn't looked at bio armor on stalker before. It looks to be insane - had perma carapice, softcap to all but psi and 65 hp/sec regen without even counting dna siphon. Definitely going to give it a look with some other melee options next time i get the mids itch.

Couple of things

1)  A fix for the Overwhelming Force -kb proc did go live before the game ended.  I picked up Bonfire for my Rad/Fire blaster and made him my #1 farmer.  The Nemesis farm map at +4/x8 was cake.  Even with the fix Bonfire with the proc was still great, basically Earthquake with damage.

2)  I had a Fire/Time/Dark Corr (with Clarion) that I respecced into an i24 build before the shutdown news came out.  That was mostly to take advantage of the insta-snipe, which was perma due to Farsight slotting.  Talk about a build I wish I had the chance to make in game but never did.  Even the i23 build was remarkable but I think the i24 changes would have made it my most powerful overall character, out of about 80 level 50s I had.

I liked the idea of having a Scrapper with 2 damage auras so wanted to pair Spines with either DA, ElA or FA.  In the end I chose Dark Armor as I couldn't think of a good Spines/ElA theme and I couldn't come up with a build I liked that was softcap with good recharge for Spines/FA.  No regrets as the Spines/DA build is one of my favorites.

Someone later suggested building FA defense to 32.5% and be willing to carry a tray of purple inspira to softcap. So simple, it was brilliant. Straight to Mids' and created a build that met everything I wanted.  It would have been a melee-AoE/ranged-AoE demon.  Perma Hasten, double damage buffs, good damage resist, end mitigation and a heal.  Will be one of the starting characters made if the game comes back.

I made one of those Spines/FA scrappers, called him Ka-Bob. He did hella dmg for an AoE toon, and I even took that throwing spikes move. I remember it as being an end hog though. He was fun to farm in AE. One or two purple insps and he was ready to go to town.
