D&D 4e Conversion for IRL tabletop use!
« on: December 12, 2015, 07:00:23 AM »
Hi there. I'm Shmoogie. Some of you may know me as Hotep Sa Ra or Dr Necron.
I'm trying to preserve the spirit of the feel of combat in CoH by writing a conversion for D&D 4e. The problem is, I'm not super-familiar with every archetype in the game. The game is bigger than my experience with it was.

For starters, out of Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma...
what would the prime requisites be for the various classes? opinions?
I'm primarily concerned with the hero side, non-alien classes to start with; I think I'll eventually get to all of the classes, but Tanker, Defender, Blaster, Controller, and Scrapper first.

Edit: here's a thought; In CoH, you can have a 3 ft. tall skinny cat-girl have the same exact stats of a towering rock-man, with the same build. How do people think about letting players choose what their prime ability score is? Any thoughts about how that would effect game balance?

(I'm super tired, and may have to revise this post later, but I think I'm communicating clearly...)
