I guess I just got lucky. I have those weapons you mention, plus that ship I just got, and they are available to all. As I imagine you know, there are other account-wide Reclaim areas in STO, too. It's a pretty cool feature.

One thing that struck me about STO right off the bat was that they don't punish you with getting your rewards. It's a fairly generous game. They could do many things with loot more stingily. I choose to think that they chose to take the high road by concentrating on the fun of STO keeping you playing, not the farming..

Roms get called different things than Feds all the way (?) to Fleet Admiral, and then at the level you get the title you are stuck with forever, they give you Fed's Fleet Admiral. The different lower level titles makes things more confusing when using the Exchange... yet, there's no distinctive title at max level.

Roms... *sigh*

Rom Boffs ftw, though.. with Superior Operative..

I just blew some ECs and Zen on Fleet Modules, so I bought my Vulcan the Obelisk Carrier I'd originally wanted for my Klingon.  I was going to go all Science ships for him, but that... really wasn't working out for me.  By which I mean "explosions.  Too many explosions".  I'm just a better Mastermind than a Defender.  (Or Corruptor?  Controller?  I'm not sure.  But whatever Science Vessels are most like, I'm bad at it)

And since Science officers get the ability to call a holographic mini-fleet, now he's kinda like a Thugs Mastermind.  I also got the hidden Advanced Obelisk Swarmers from the Sphere of Influence mission, so I already have the second-tier Hangar Pets right out of the gate.

I named it the USS Wuh'rah Ashaya.  (I leave it as an exercise for the reader to divine why I called it that)

Regardless, I'm immediately infinitely more excited about playing my Vulcan.

You beat me to getting a Fleet T6!

I've been wanting to try that Warbird Fleet T6 with battle cloak ever since I got my second T6 but have yet to get it. I got the Pilot Warbird (*yawn*) instead. If it could speed burst while I was cloaked then it might be a more interesting ship/more Warbirdy. As-is, I fly it just like my Pilot Escorts. So I'm thinking to garage it and try the battle cloak. Thinking.. as in, you beat me to doing..

Ohhh you bought the Fleet Modules with Zen... I was like, how did you spend Zen for a Fleet T6? But yeah, Fleet Modules are in the Z-store too. Humm. I guess I'd use EC's just due to I don't have much of anything else to spend EC's on that I don't recover the cost from and I buy Z-store ships with Zen.

Bag space has been something tempting me lately.. Man extra slots are pricey! Ok, I'm cheap. Xev is always, always, always out of bag space.. Or about to be out.

"explosions.  Too many explosions".

hehehehehe

Round 39 in Sompek!

You have to try this...

Tips:
use the map to your advantage.. I tend to stand out in the middle of everything and 'unleash' (it's not a mighty unleash) and then fairly quickly pay the consequences. Bad plan. Get them Alone if possible or at least have a place to duck out of fire.
change your Active Reputation so that you have all Ground powers..
make sure your Active Specializations are Ground friendly.. (No Pilot, for example..)
make sure you have Active Ground Doffs that you're happy with - if you have none, get some!
there are mishes with good ground gear (I have the gear that makes you go invis nonstop..) - I dunno what is good Rep ground gear.
If you can upgrade your ground gear to mk xiv..
Kit Modules! Kit out your Kit Module Kit.. And don't forget you can search for Universal Modules! (that was a good tip..) It's not uncommon to find affordable Epic Kit Modules, so, don't exclude those in your search.

I was the weak link that last Sompek, probably, but, I think I contributed, some. Those marathon ones can be fun. Well, and afterwards we got like 200+ marks, 600 dil, and I dunno if there was anything else. The rewards of course scale up with how many rounds you can last.

I hit the Unlimited queue by accident, somehow, when I was just wanting to get my token and then hug a pillow..

I just say.... Round 54!

It takes quite awhile to get to round 54..

Good team. Good fun. Good night! Man, never hit that thing before bed..

Unfortunately, the console versions don't have this event right now.  Today's the last day of the Mirror Invasion, and there's a Bonus Marks weekend coming up.

The consoles do finally get Season 13.5 on the 5th.  (That's... next Wednesday, if I haven't forgotten how numbers work?)   It'll be nice to finally see what Brushfire is all about.

I kept meaning to do Brushfire but never did.

Any time there are bonus marks is a good time to stock up. Marks Good. Always.

I'm probably going to miss most of it.  Saturday is an annual gigantic flea market that my wife and I want to try to get to, and Sunday is my regular tabletop roleplaying session.  (And I'm also not feeling well, so it's kinda a one-two-three punch)

Oh!  There's a Phoenix event going on right now on the consoles!  It was only announced for the XBox version (and by "announced" I mean "I saw someone make a Reddit post about it"), but it's happening on the PS4 version, too.

I've actually been saving Dil for this.  (I don't have much, but I have enough for maybe a dozen extra boxes over and above the free ones)

Edit: Holy crap.  Before buying any, I decided to get the daily free Pack first... and it had an Epic token in it.  I have no idea what I'm going to buy with it.  I'm just going to stick it in the Bank for now and ponder, while I do the rest of my Daily Stuffs.  There's no rush.

If I'd gotten an Epic token during the previous Phoenix event, I knew exactly what I was going to buy with it (the Breen Sarr Theln Carrier), but my Klingon already has a T6 Carrier, so now I don't have any specific wants or needs.  And since the Phoenix Event tends to make the Dil-to-Zen conversion rates a lot better, now would probably be the best time to trade all my Dil for Zen.  Oh, decisions, decisions.

Edit 2: Decided to buy some packs anyway, because even the worst prize is still pretty useful (unlike Lockboxes).  I now have the VSS Tanius Admiralty ship on all three characters, and the Crystalline Absorption Matrix on two of them.

Might still get the Breen Sarr Carrier for my Vulcan.  Or for the Klingon anyway.  SO MANY DECISIONS.

Edit 3: I really wish you could trade ships between your own characters, because I'd kinda like the clean-lined Jem'Hadar Carrier for my Vulcan and the more monstrous Breen Carrier for my Klingon.  (I haven't used the Epic token yet, but I have looked at pictures)

Seriously TG, you are one lucky, rhymes with Kastard...

lol

That's pretty great.

Edit 3: I really wish you could trade ships between your own characters

This is why I like Z-store ships.

Well... you got a T6 token (!) and some Phoenix Upgrade kits and some consoles and some Admiralty ships already. It would tempting to turn some dil into zen at this point if it were me, too. I'd probably be in upgrade-all-my-best-stuff-to mk xiv mode.

Oh hey, on that subject! If you do not know it already.. There are ... I forget the name and am about to log.. Upgrade Accelerators! you can buy in the Exchange. You can up to double (I think that's as high as you can go) the amount of upgrade points that your Phoenix Upgrade kits give. The ones that give double the amount are expensive on PC so I usually just use the ones that give 1.5x the amount that cost ~ 1/4 as much. There are also ones that give a boost to your chance for a quality upgrade but the boost seems so small that I ended up selling mine back on the Exchange and buying more of the 1.5x boosters.

Sheesh I hope you know about these! They make those upgrade kits stretch a fair amount farther.

Grats on your luck! And the other nice Phoenix loots, too.

That's a thought.  I've been saving all my Phoenix Upgrades for the next double Upgrade weekend, but there hasn't been one yet.  (But the Event Calendar hasn't updated yet, so it doesn't go past the second week of September.  I suppose they'll update it when they add episode 13.5)

Still haven't decided what to buy with the Epic token.  I kinda want the Lukari science ship just for the looks, but I don't like its stats much.  Ah, no rush, no rush....

  Ah, no rush, no rush....

This is the mode I'm in right now. I've got a stack of ships piling up for me to try, too. However, .... RL (I like to always call it IRL to make it sound even dumber/more like a game title but I've decided to conform and use proper abbreviations) demands are ruining my fun factor, lately.

This is what makes STO farming/tradeskilling so good. I can zone out for hours without devoting more than 5 - 10% of my brainpower to what I'm actually doing at the time and by the time I log off I still feel like I accomplished something/had some escape time.

By the time I can actually enjoy playing, again, I should have farmed up all kinds of new goodies to have fun with.

STO, the game for all seasons.

~~~~~~~~~
That's a really negative post, but, it's true! It's nice to have something to veg out with. Sometimes vegging out can be very therapeutic.
I don't even want to *name* a ship when I'm not totally into it. That's like making a new toon and having no name or concept for it.
So, I'm just saving my resources for now. Doing the occasional really fun marathon Sompek... (those, require 120% of my brainpower i.e. I have too little to make it past being the weak link in a 54/100+ round Sompek). Etc. It's not allllll farming.
I want to get a Fleet T6, some more Zen ships, and... that covers it. The lockbox ships just don't lure me at this point. There is a Fleetmate in my more active Fleet that has tried every ship in the game that he wants to try, already. For him, lockbox ships are all that's left. I'm not anywhere near the point that I'm considering lockbox ships, yet.
One of the best 'Events' in STO isn't until well into next year. I don't want to give away what it is... but, when I first experienced it.. I thought I'd been hacked.. and then when I realized I hadn't been, I was highly annoyed. And then... well, now I can't wait for it to come back around, again!
I already probably gave away too much.. It's probably way more fun and memorable when you don't see it coming.
It's a Spring Event. Already looking forward to it since awhile : )
The Events calendar is completely empty on the console version.  Even the Phoenix event going on right now isn't shown on thre.  I think they were planning on updating it with the game update, but that's been delayed a week.
If I may, I think he was referring about "something" on the PC version.
Kinda makes me wonder, on the console, how many weeks or months does the weekly events showed? I honestly do not know.
One day the Phoenix will rise again.
It should be on console the exact same day! I shouldn't have even said anything hehe. It's probably better when you don't see it coming. I'm looking forward to it and want to mention "it", but, don't want to ruin anything for anyone at the same time.
... is it that Hearts and Minds thing?  That's been on the Event Calendar for a while.  If not... well, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
I haven't been playing much.  There's a bug on the console versions that resets all your auto-attacks every time you transfer from ground to space and vice-versa.  It's supposed to be fixed tomorrow, though.  (I did play enough to finish Brushfire on all three characters and get the first week's award, which isn't anything special, though the console is nice)
All I know is that I finally got my hands on the Vonph Dreadnaught Carrier I've wanted for months.   (And it's so shiny and backlit-glowy with the Reman Prototype Covariant Shield in the Shield Visuals slot)
What I really need to do is pin down what type of energy damage I want the Klingon to be doing, and then start getting a bunch of purple cannons of that type (I love cannons, and turrets are almost a must-have given carriers' low turn rates) and the appropriate Tactical Console.  Right now, it's sort of a mish-mash.
