St Patrick's Day in Paragon?
« on: March 16, 2016, 04:41:52 PM »
Any interest in 'wearing the green' and turning out to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Paragon this year?

Y'know... This has always confused me... Why do you lot in the USA celebrate an Irish holiday?

As a nation of immigrants, we celebrate a lot of holidays not specific to the US, for example, in my part of the woods (Texas) Cinco de Mayo is a big deal.

Americans will take any holiday we think can be used as an excuse for binge drinking. Why we feel we need an excuse for binge drinking, idk.

And it looks like there will be a St. Patrick's Day Party in Paragon Chat tomorrow evening.  This is posted on the FB COH groups:

"Lasses and lads! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day! Let's all get our 'green' on and celebrate the CoH way! Break out your characters that sport the green or show off your IRISH pride in Paragon Chat!

Let's start it up as early as 6:30pm Eastern under the Atlas statue in Paragon Chat! Major Deej Universe's IRISH FIGHTER and DUBLIN will be there to buy the first round of Guinness for all those wearin' their green!

Let's make it happen, me boyos! Erin Go Bragh!"

Thanks for posting that, Nyghtshade!  Just logged in here to see if anyone was interested in attending!  Not much planned other than wearing green, spouting Irish memes and maybe a group pic with our torches on the steops of City Hall in Atlas Park.

I'll drop a message on Cape Radio, but it may be a tad too late for them to show.

Anyways, GET YUIR GREEN ON!  Hope to see all of you there!

It's a color thing I think:

MLK Day is black
Valentine's Day is pink white and red
St. Patrick's Day is green
Easter is all the pastals
Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day are all Red White & Blue
Halloween is orange and black
Thanksgiving is earth tones
Christmas is Red and Green

It's a polychromatic Calendar!

Did I miss any?

Just a bump to remind folks about tonight.  Hope to see lots of heroes (and villains) wearin' the green in Paragon Chat tonight, under the Atlas Statue, 6:30 PM EST.   :)
