Serious resolution problem

So I tried changing my game resolution in the main menu (after backing out from char gen), but after setting it to desktop resolution, the game became enlarged so that I can no longer click buttons on the bottom of the GUI. How can I change the resolution back so I can reach these buttons? I can no longer click the buttons required to reach the login screen any more, since they're along the bottom of the screen.

Can you see the back button in the character chooser? If you can click that, it will send you back to the original start up screen and there is a Settings button there

No I can't, that's the problem. Consequently I need to change the resolution from outside the game, but I can't find an ini file.
