Windows 10, Paragon Chat, and Being Distracted.
« on: April 29, 2017, 10:52:40 PM »
So, you're in Paragon Chat.  But you need to look up something online, and when you do you miss what's going on in chat.

Sucks, right? Here's a tip!

Requires Windows 10.

1. Open Settings.  Go to Personalization, Colors, and turn Transparency Effects to ON.

2. Open Paragon Chat.  Set the video to full screen (Sorry, high DPI users, this tip won't work.)

3. Move the Windows Taskbar to the left side.  Find a blank spot and click and drag it to the left border of the screen.  You might have to unlock the taskbar (Right click on a blank part and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar") in order to move or resize it.

4. Resize the Windows Taskbar by clicking on it's edge and dragging so that the bar is the same size as the chat window in City of Heroes Client.

5. Use Windows normally.  Yes, you lose a bit of horizontal space, but you can see chat messages through the toolbar and can switch back to the client when you need to talk.  When you need to look stuff up online, you can without missing chat.

6. When done with the client, resize the taskbar back to normal, and drag it back to where it belongs.

That's right.  I'm STILL reading!

I simply make the other window smaller, like tiled to the right (fills the right side of the screen while PChat is full screen behind it).
