Goodbye, Adam West
« on: June 10, 2017, 05:47:53 PM »
Adam West (no need to tell anyone here who he was) died of leukemia Friday night at age 88.

His Batman and Yvonne Craig's Batgirl will forever patrol Gotham City.

I can't argue with that. Even Affleck agrees.

Quote from:  Ben Affleck on Twitter
Adam West exemplified heroism. Kind, funny and an all around great guy. Thank you for showing us all how it's done. @therealadamwest

True story.

Watching Mr. West, with myself as a kid at the time, carried all the weight and seriousness of being a hero even around the campiness of the show. With all the color and pageantry the show itself embodied, the straight-faced seriousness he took in his duty and sense of civic responsibility amidst all that was not missed by a lot of us young'uns. ;)

Cowls off to you, sir.
