Heroes and Villains 11/30/2017 Update

To mark the anniversary of the closure of 'City of Heroes', we have a small art update featuring the in game models of a few more of our NPCs, starting with the veteran street hero Watchdog, a member of the Paragons supergroup:





The villain Gorth, the leader of the Lost World Reptoids, the twisted hybrids of humans and dinosaurs created by Lord Sorcero’s blend of science and dark magic:





The heroine Sigrune, also known as Shield Maiden, a Valkyrie and a member of the Legion supergroup:

Art looks great. Have y'all tied enough systems together to consider yourselves close to or having achieved a closed alpha state, stable or otherwise?

Not yet - because all the systems are so heavily integrated with each other, we're not really able to focus on only a few at a time - they all need to be developed alongside each other.
Plus, things like the story/mission system are so much more complex than what was done in CoH, so we can't even use CoH as a guideline for developing it - it pretty much has to be totally new from the ground up in order to cover things like the scope of the dialogue trees and the variable paths through each story arc.
CoH's mission system was great for combat, but not so good for the kind of deep RPG that we're making.
