A bit too much time is spent during the first video on showcasing the Animus Workshop logo and transforming it into the actual video.  Besides that it was so mundane that it's almost surreal.  I may or may not watch the rest of the episodes.  I must admit that I'm mildly curious as to whether it will ever actually have anything to do with superheroes.
When you insult someone by calling them a "pig" or a "dog" you aren't maligning pigs and dogs everywhere.  The same is true of any term used as an insult.

Hi Tenzhi,

Thanks for watching! You are now familiar with Lukulele, the 83rd most popular ukulele tutorials on YouTube! Please do watch on as this isn't a series of stand-alone episodes. It starts as one thing and becomes another!

As for the opening sequence, this is the launch of the 'Animus Trilogy', three intertwining superhero series, so it is the start of a lot more than just this episode. This sequence takes us into the world of Lukulele, subsequent episodes do not feature this as we are already in the world. There is also a sequence exiting the portal at the end of episode 6 to bookend the series.

Please watch on and let me know your thoughts on the series as a whole!

Thanks again!

It starts as one thing and becomes another!

That's right. It starts out as the most amazing Ukel Uka.. err.. tiny guitar tutorial ever. I mean, there just aren't enough of these. If you stick around.. you see that that is just a classic part of any superhero story - the introduction of our hero's ..normal life/The Origin Story.

I was really looking forward to learning more about very small guitars but I can probably get past that disappointment to see how this story further unfolds. I got through the first 3(?) episodes this morning before something else came up.

I have to be really honest and say it's not high on my priority list at this point due to I already have more video than I can watch that I'm already into and I'm playing more games than I want to atm, and, this is the start of busy season for me, but, it's on the list to watch at least a few more episodes at some point mainly due to someone wants Titanites to and the theme is right.

I must admit that I'm mildly curious ...

A minor Lukulala victory considering that you feel

.... it was so mundane that it's almost surreal.

Anyway, I like the attitude and theme (and the effects weren't horrible all things considered..) (and the editing was good except I coulda used a few less of some camera effects and the end of the first episode confused me some as to why he would be messing with a molecular whatsists or even have access to one) is why I stuck up for Luke a lil here and will probably eventually watch some more.

I wish j00 luck, Luke! You came to the right place for 'expert' (we're often entirely too old to still read comics but do and we also still strap on our cybertights and capes) praise and heckle.

The identity of the bad guy was pretty obvious, though his motivation was unclear.  He may have said in the last episode, but his voice was so distorted as to be unintelligible to me.  Didn't care for the dark ending.

That said, I thought it was creative and well put together even if it wasn't entirely my cuppa.  It gave me a vibe somewhere between Dr. Horrible and Garth Marenghi's Dark Place.

oh, there's only 6 episodes! ?

Well, for what it is, I think it's well done. The only complaint I would have is that the cutaway scenes where we get the inside view of how the powers came to be and the inside view of villainy stuff could be confusing.

The problem with getting someone like me to give you a good review is that I never watch Youtube videos for fun, and, I have no interest in them for that purpose at this time. No offense at all but Luke doesn't even compete with the sets and effects and stories in superheroey mainstream video that I am currently catching up on.

I took graphics arts way back before digital and learned enough to know what a difficult job you have. I think many of the camera shots are very nice and the editing and continuity is good with the exception of the above where I was getting confused. For being homegrown and having nothing current to compare with (I dunno what the homegrown effects market is currently like) I thought the effects were respectable - good. I could have done with fewer picture tear effects.

The characters were usually likeable..

*shrug*

Crummy review, I know. It's probably what you'll get from someone that doesn't watch Youtube videos for anything other than educational purposes. Looking back, I guess I shoulda taken that into account before deciding to offer up my opinions. Someone said Superhero and Watch This, so I did, but, yeah, Youtube non-educational video has no draw whatsoever for me at this point and this hasn't changed my mind but I totally wish you luck and think you aren't talentless : D
