This article on IGN gives a very brief glimpse at what's in store for Issue 13.

Seems like custom player content is definitely "in", as well as more powerset proliferation.

Personally, I'm very curious how custom missions and arcs are going to play out.  If you can receive awards from this content (XP, inf, drops, etc), the options will have to be tightly controlled to prevent exploitation.   If there aren't any rewards, I can see this type of content being played through once or twice for "newness"'s sake, and not much more outside of that.

Any thoughts?

That's what I mean.  If rewards are an option, they'll have to either limit the # of spawns per map, limit the kinds of mobs you can spawn, etc.

If no rewards - no need for limitations... but I know personally I wouldn't want to play through missions I'm getting nothing for more than a few times.  Even exemplaring, you still get drops and inf.

I have faith. The last few issues have been outstanding, and every time I find myself doubting the devs' decisions, I am totally assuaged once getting around to playing it.

True, I'll second that Faith.  I for one cannot see them actually releasing this without Reward options though. The Replay is substantially lowered right off the bat if there are no rewards....Badges are the exception, but still.

Will this "fame" give us XP.  I don't see people doing missions if they don't get XP for it.

"Fame" to me seems that it could be an equivalent to the PvP Rep System.  IF this holds a similar make-up, there could be Badges involved, I'll go as far to say that there's even the possibility to use "Fame Points" to purchase ....things.  I can't imagine what they could make available for purchase, that's not already in-game and accessible by other means.

My speculation ends there for the moment. *shrug*

More speculation, but it seems logical that Fame could be used within the system itself. In other words, use Fame to purchase more Mission Creation items like larger maps, more complex objectives, signature NPCs, etc...and of course badges.  ;)

Positron likened it to the Character creator in his first announcement of the feature, so I think of the mission features like the Vanguard items. All the options are built into the system, but you have to basically unlock them by getting your Fame to new levels.

I may be wrong on this, but I really don't think the Mission Creator will give normal game rewards. If they do, each mission will need some sort of "cool down" period to lessen any exploitation of the system. I'm still not sure they would even do that, though.

Seems I recall a mention somewhere (and I really wish I could remember where) of them wanting to add some kind of "out-of-game" character rewards.  Could this tie in, perhaps? 

Total agreement.  If the rewards are normal XP/drops, then there's gotta be a limitation.

IMHO the easiest way to make sure the player created "missons" can have XP/drops/badges is to limit each player creation to its own story arc, with level(s) restrictions et al.

By linking the player created content to a single story arc created by the player the game and the player have control of the contents repeateability and possible farming play. Story arc proposals might have to be approved by the devs.

Players create story arc, populate various maps with villian/hero mobs and place the target(s) in each mission, rinse and repeat until story arc completed.

Only problem I see is the proliferation of the mission/story arc starter, how many new mission specialists/goal providers can the game sustain... Would the new content creator have to use the current missions providers or could the creator of the content create a new NPC..within some sort of restriction... ??? ???

I'd expand on that and say if that is possible, it should also hold the ability to grant all the Badges that the Flashback Missions hold as well.  Would be great :P.

Unai still has 2 farmable Freak missions...

But it would be nice to have something besides Nems and Possessed to farm villian side.  Possessed are too variable, so you never know which powersets they'll have when you get the mission.
