Suggestion: Idiot-proof guide
« on: October 20, 2008, 08:00:41 PM »
I love the idea of this and yes I have read the instructions several times but I can't get this to track for love nor money.

I'm not the brightest in the world, but I can usually work anything out on my own, but this badge thing has me totally lost.

So please; take a suggestion and write a proper, step by step, idiot-proof guide on how to get this working. No it probably isn't that hard, but I'm posting, how many people just think "stuff that" and don't bother?

For the record I use HeroStatus quite easily and was hoping to track the badges without any extra work. HS doesn't seem to want to send the data (no update needed). I did  follow the installation of the bindfiles and ran them. Three times on two separate characters. They seem to go off quite easily.

Anyway, just a suggestion. I'll go back to pen and paper. :)

Simple question for HS...is your Titan Login entered in HS?

-Run HS
-Click the "View" Tab
-Click "Global Options"
-Click the "Web Sites" Tab from the resulting Pop-up
-Check off the Titan Network slot and enter information
-Click "OK" back to main HS window
-Start Binds again

We're working on getting our FAQs back up for CIT.  There's where anyone would be able to find the solutions for things such as this...once we get it completed. :P

Not 100% sure if the "Unstable HS" is the only one still updating properly.

@Tazhyngarth - yes I had done that. :)

It seems to be working now but I haven't changed anything since I posted before. Whether there is a delay between 't' and it becoming visible, I don't know.

I appreciate you trying to help and I wish you the best of luck with the FAQ. The sooner the better, please. :D

Internet gremlins! :P

Between pressing "T" and it showing up in HS, it should be just as instant as it appears to you in-game.  Then it takes the defaulted 60 seconds to send to the Site, unless you changed that number via the same spot you entered your TN info inside HS.  We have seen this happen before, we just can never assume that it's always the case.

At least it's working, that's all that matters.

Hi again. Well I'm still happily tracking but I thought this might be useful for other clueless newbies :D

I know it relates to herostats and not your own tracking program but I thought it was useful. I'm running HS anyway so it makes more sense - for me - to use that.

Excuse me, I have last minute ToTing to do.

LOL, nice....well that was on our FAQs Page with the old CIT/CGT, but we haven't brought that back since the Merge/re-write.  Kudos to Skip for Posting it. :P
