Access CIT from Titan Home requires login again
« on: November 17, 2008, 09:21:06 PM »
Hey guys,
Since that problem with the login server a few days ago, accessing the CIT site from the Titan home requires me to login again specifically into the CIT page every time.
Not sure how you guys are handling this, if its redirect or cookies etc., I did clear my cookies for Titan just in case, but no luck.. or if it is a new 'feature'.. but if it is, I must say i rather preferred the 'previous way' of a single transparent login across all sites.

Oddly enough, this does not seem to happen with Faces site, thou...

Cheers,
Ice

Sounds like you are running into the Bug we had a few days past - Details Here, that is, if you've cleared everything from CIT and this is still happening.  If you've 100% cleared your Cookies related to us and this is going on, then hopefully someone else can think of something.

Yep it does sound like the third one mentioned there...

I'll make a 2nd sweep for cookies to see if I missed anything.. I was just trying not to delete all of them, but I suppose i can do that if needed..

I'll post back in a while with results...

Nope, no luck. Still requires me to 'log in' again every time i go back to the CIT home..

Did clean all cookies, and tested with boh firefox and IE 7... both behave similarly.
It does pass back correctly to forums and cohfaces, but the CIT one is adamantly refusing.. haha

Not a major thing, but vaguely annoying.. any other ideas are welcome..

Yeah, it's called "releasing new code without checking it out completely first" :P

The new CIT homepage doesn't have a flag check for a valid session.   You ARE still logged in, but the home page doesn't tell you.

Simply go to http://cit.cohtitan.com/manage

You should be taken right to your My Account screen, no login necessary.

Having this bug as well and also finding it a bit irritating :( I too noticed that my session was still logged in when I went to other parts of the site. My bookmark is for the homepage though. I like looking at the featured badge chars and the stats before I check my own stuff.

Cleared cookies and it's still happening. Browser is the latest version of Seamonkey.

Seamonkey? wow... I wouldn't even know how to help you with issues with that browser... definitely Gecko framework though... does it imitate FireFox?
