Yep seems to be fixed. I decided to go away from glycerine as I see the need to have a backup site due to the last snafu of loosing all of my characters on cohtitan... So I am also using badge-hunter

In some respects, I don't blame ya.

However, it won't happen again. I have nightly backups of the database going at 3:30 AM East every night.

Is HeroStats supposed to be working with CIT again?  'Cause I haven't seen any updates from it on CIT in quite a while.

Nope. No updates from HeroStats to CIT.  I still have an empty list of characters.

What do you need from me to help solve this?

:D

HeroStats doesn't actually have a data website. It saves your data to your local machine... if you load up HS while playing that character should update CIT no problem. I know it's a bit of pain.

Only a small group of my characters got sent to CIT from HeroStats. Still even they don't have the actual badge counts. It only says thank you for updating to Badge-Hunter & Vidiotmaps, never CIT.
Also still getting the Issue 11 bind settings.
Gonna see if Glycerin fixes this.

Badge counts on CIT or only slightly off, via some info from a few of our own users.

I've cycled through all of my toons on Guardian and all but two of them updated to CIT.  The two that didn't update are my oldest two toons, both 50's (Goldstar and Nova Healer).  Another 50 (Star Dancer) did update, so it's not a 50-related problem.  I checked the Hero Options in HS and they are the same for the two that didn't update as for the ones that did update.

Steiner, what information do you need from me to diagnose the problem?

I honestly have no idea why It's being selective like that. HS is running in a fashion that all pieces of info should come through without an issue.

ALSO, try running "Fiddler2" nifty free app that tracks network sends and recieves. Things that are erroneous will be red, double click the red, and goto "TextView" and paste back any errors you might get.

If you aren't getting errors via this tool, I'd say everything is working fine... HS and Glycerine have always had some issues when switching characters... might just have to restart the app on the transfer.

OK, so I ran Fiddler2 during both an unsuccessful and a successful HS update.  No "red" in Fiddler2, but here's the update data:

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><UpdateCharacter xmlns="http://www.cityinfoterminal.com/titan/"><intTID>1090</intTID><strToonName>Goldstar</strToonName><strArchetype>Tanker</strArchetype><strServer>Guardian</strServer><intLevel>50</intLevel><strOrigin>Magic</strOrigin><strStatus>Online</strStatus><intInfluence>82903510</intInfluence><intExperience>39149119</intExperience><strPrimarySet>Invulnerability</strPrimarySet><strSecondarySet>Super Strength</strSecondarySet><strEpicSet>Energy Mastery</strEpicSet><strBio>Richard Goodman, a brilliant scientistist researching in Greece, is fatally injured when an unscupulous treasure-seeker explodes a bomb in the cave he was exploring in his spare time.  Dying and horribly disfigured, Goodman discovers the circlet of the Greek legend, Orion, the mighty hunter.  Unearthed by the blast, the circlet extends its powers over his entire body to form of a protective suit and helmet. The circlet heals and sustains Goodman, but his face remains a horror that he must hide forever behind his helmet.   Despite the magical source of his own abilities, Goodman uses his tehcnical prowess to invent devices that assist other heroes in their quest for justice.   Along with Nova Healer, he has established the supergroup StarForce, which he leads.  Even though his magic can mimic any shape, he is a prisoner within his own armor. He is, now and always - Goldstar.</strBio><strGlobalHandle>Goldstar3</strGlobalHandle><strSupergroup>Starforce</strSupergroup><strClientTag>HSU/v4.4.1.0</strClientTag><strTheTitle>The</strTheTitle><strCommonTitle>Legendary</strCommonTitle><strOriginTitle>Wise</strOriginTitle></UpdateCharacter></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
and here's the response:

Code: [Select]
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"><soap:Body><UpdateCharacterResponse xmlns="http://www.cityinfoterminal.com/titan/"><UpdateCharacterResult>0</UpdateCharacterResult></UpdateCharacterResponse></soap:Body></soap:Envelope>
Notice that UpdateCharacterResult is 0.

It should return the character ID number on a successful update.

Alright, so we're getting closer to the issue here.

There has to be something about those characters HS isn't liking.

K, got it!

The vanity titles were messing it up... all fixed now.

OK, I'll bite.  What's a "vanity title"?  I see a "The" Title, A Common Title and an Origin Title, but I don't see a "vanity" title.

vanity titles are the combination of all three titles. :D lol sorry.

It was screwing up the database query... it couldn't tell they were separate entities in the database.

Ah.  Got it.

BTW - I was able to get both of those toons updated, so mission accomplished.  Thanks!
