Viewer for .mhd files?
« on: August 19, 2009, 09:24:13 PM »
Anybody know what you can use to view the .mhd files in a readable format?  I tried opening them in excel but it still showed alot of unneaded characters.  I can view the Maths.mhd in notepad or even wordpad fine, but for things like AttribMod.mhd and even I12.mhd there is alot of stuff jumbled in.

For what I am trying to do, the built in database editor isn't working and being able to manually edit the actual database file may do the trick.

I'm a sexy pork chop!!!!

Sadly, there is no such thing. Mids purposefully designed the larger of the MHD files to only be readable by the MxD.

Even if you were to find a way to open them and view them in human readable format, saving it would be pointless because it's all in binary and binary ( at least these files ) seem to require size hashes to match... which would be about 12 extra steps backwards, just to make 1 step forward.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help here... (believe me, I'd love for this info to be readable on a separate app... but it just isn't.
