For the long Story, see my post at Glyc Suggestions:
http://www.cohtitan.com/forum/index.php/topic,2609.0.htmlBottomline for CIT:
The character profile page displays a 'global'-like for 'pilot' which is incorrect and/or misleading, when a user uses dual accounts, or two users share an account.
Example:
The character Aliis'za
http://cit.cohtitan.com/character/36277:
Incorrectly states 'pilot' as @IceHeart. This is incorrect or misleading, as the correct game global account for this toon is '@Eternal Shadow Knight' - as evidenced on the character details page at:
http://cit.cohtitan.com/manage/editchar/36277What is a 'pilot' anyway? Under the assumption that this refers to who was the last physical user behind the keyboard, it is correct in stating that it was "me, Ice" on "mine, Ice's PC", while using "mine, Ice's CIT Account" who was the last user behind the controls for this toon.. while I was dual instancing COX with my friend's account... ... BUT its incorrect or misleading in implying my game global '@Iceheart' owns that toon, or that people would be able (or even should) contact my global in-game for topics related to that toon.
Suggestion/Fix:
1- Add a field in the profile page 'Global', and link the correct, distinct, game global owner of that toon, whcih is evidently, already available in CIT's DB.
2- Optionally, (but stronly suggested) also add an option for that global to be displayed or not, similar to influence and other privacy settings
3- Rename 'Pilot' to 'Latest controlling user /pilot' or something to such effect, possibly with a tooltip with addtional information, and link it to the CIT Account that last updated this toon.
Yep, I know.. not a en extremely big issue
.. but hey, we always improving, right?
