I need help getting my tanker soft capped

Ok i might be over doing it,but im trying to get a extra strong tanker that will be an plus tf or really anything in pve. The thing

 this is my first time trying to build one on the mids. Any way of my def is sitting at 51% in smashing and lethal.I'm trying to get

 him down to 45%. my understanding of softcapping, anything over 45% is useless.so if there anything you see

Just a note, any DEF over the 45% "soft cap" is still useful vs. higher con foes (who's base chance to hit you is more than 50%) and any DEF debuffs (such as on the ITF).

Also, how much are you willing to spend?

Infamy not a problem,but if i can get the same result cheaper i'm all over it/or if it can be better by spending

 more its fine. and thank for giving some postive in-put. great knowing that something being over 45% can still be

 helpful in some situation.

TKS,lOOKING AT IT IT LOOKS NICE. I dont know about kick over punch in tough trying to see how i can tweek it a

 little bit without messing it up.how much do u think this build will cost? (I'm noticeing over on the blue side it

 seems like things are a little higher,maybe its just me.) didnt even think about bout adding anything from the

 epic pool .Im thinking what am i going to do to counter  the rage crash? not a problem with my ss/wp brute.

I have Kick in there over Boxing for the +Rech proc (keep Kick on auto and you can have near guaranteed permanent Dull Pain). And I don't know how much it will cost, I've yet to finish this build on the toon it goes to. Right now I'm sitting at ~1.5B.

As for the Rage crash, it's -END and -DEF. Stacking Rage with itself negates the -DEF component (unless they've changed that recently), and the -END is trivial.

This is my Tank Build.
Defense for Smashing / Lethal is 69%.
Defense for Energy / Negative is 45%.
Plus, if you use the Soul Mastery powers, you can get -ToHit DeBuff, which helps better your defense by +2% I think?!?
