SBEs (was Re: Re-evaluating Recipe/Enhancement articles)

>.> sorry if this is mentioned above, I think I did a thorough skimming, but could have missed these points...

anyway, a couple important and quasi-relevant questions/info points:
1) store-bought enhancements: I have yet to see this info anywhere, including here or ingame, but do these act like the ATEs and lvl with you? (at least as far as the min to max of that set?)

2) will the SBEs mix match with their normal counterparts? where you might slot the lvl 15 proc of the set from an IO, but the rest of it is the SBEs and still get the full bonuses?

Yes, see: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Attuned

I suspect they're separate (ie. you can't mix and match as a single set) but I honestly don't know for sure.

Yes, they function the same as the standard IOs for set bonuses.

3 SBEs and 3 standard IOs of the same set grants the full five bonuses for the set, not two two-bonuses.

<_<;;; and with i23 on test, I can't just go check. for the second one, I'd definitely list that on one of the general pages though if it isn't already there.

I have an SBE question. Do they look any different when you have them slotted in a build or sitting in a tray? How can you distinguish between an SBE and an IO?

Yes, they have a different border. All attuned enhancements like ATOs and SBEs use it:

Superior SBEs like Hecatomb use the purple variant like the superior ATOs.
