I don't read it as them calling shenanigans, so much as they say we are. I actually take that as a validation, and just a positive a sign as if they were questioning the NCSoft response themselves.
I wouldn't use the word "replace," but there's no word for "take over for you and make everything better almost immediately," so we just say "replace."

It was certainly nice to see a counter argument, rather than just a copy/paste of the press release :)

YAY, crazy people!

Edit: The second link is a parody site.  The post was made in jest!  It's intended to sound crazy, so please don't go over there posting how dumb it sounds--that's the point, to be satirically humorous!  --TonyV

Actually, Landover Baptist is one of my favorite sites. It's whole point is to prove a law that forget the name of, off the top of my head, but it essentially exists to prove that, without some visual indicator (like a winky emoticon), sarcasm or hyperbole are indistinguishable from what you're trying to make fun of.  The entire site is one big joke, and the best part is that it's taken seriously be a good portion of the sites and people it mocks.

EDIT: Four response down, the original poster calls GW2 NCSoft's "furry-fetish flagship!" I almost shot coffee out my nose!

@Turducken - I know. I giggled myself stupid at some of the responses. So funny.

This one doesn't pertain to us, directly, but to gamers in general.  I post it here, not to go on the list, but as a perspective on what people say about gamers.

Not saying vote for her.  Not saying donate to her campaign. A "Like" on her Facebook page is a vote against gamer-discrimination!

I'm writing an article to be submitted to the business and/or technology editors of the Toronto Star, as it is the most widely-read newspaper in Canada. There's also a bit of a whimsical choice for submitting to this newspaper - it was formerly the Toronto Daily Star, made famous as the real-world inspiration for the most famous fictional newspaper - the Daily Planet.

There are a few things that I am going to touch on - the community surrounding the game and its ability to strengthen the lives of individuals such as myself, the simple economic reality that 80 well-loved people have suddenly lost their jobs for what appears to be nearly no reason, and most importantly, the fact that there is nothing quite like the current efforts in the history of gaming... or in business, for that matter.
Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction.

ARGH WHY AREN'T PEOPLE COMING TO US FOR COMMENT SO CROSS ARGHARGHARGH etc.,
I think it might be a good idea to post on their forums about it, if you read the comments on the MMORPG article there are a lot of people there that are sympathetic to our cause.
I tried to reply with links, but apparently the site will have none of that >.<

..sorry. I'm a journalist by trade, and the idea of running with just one side of the story is just unimaginable to me. Is that just a UK thing?

Because who is your official spokes person to talk to?

The most important thing here is to make sure that *everyone* is on exactly the same page. If one of the saveCOH people says something that doesn't match up to the general theme, you all get tainted by it.
I'd say Tony, but of course they wouldn't know that unless they've been closely following the action.

Or Maressa. I think she's rather adept at dealing with the press :)

Either would be a good fit, yes.  ;D
