YouTube Log In problems?

So, I don't frequent youtube often, but attempting to log into it through Internet Explorer doesn't work.  It just redirects me to the "oops" page.  I've tried clearing out all temporary internet files (including cookies), i've tried logging into my google account first, I've tried logging out of my google account....no go.   Searches online seem to suggest those tree solutions --has anyone else seen/heard/dealt with this?
 
Edit:  Worked around it by creating a new account -- I suspect there was some sort of cross-account issue.

OKay, so apparently not fixed.  Now when I "log" into youtube it takes me to the same page without logging in.  If i click on "upload", it loops between a blank page and the original page.  What is up with youtube and are there any alternatives out there people are using?
 
Edit/Update:  So if I log out of all google sites and then access password reset feature on Youtube, I get redirected to an Authorization Error Page.  As much as I despise using alternate browsers, I can get in through firefox, so likely it is a security setting on my side.
