Um, it may be perhaps a bit thought provoking for you to understand a conservative and a socialist both agree on Mr. Beck.
I agree some of his points made are true, I also think it is made to sell. Not a bad thing in and of itself as Rush Limbaugh, Beck, John Stewart, Bill Maher and any other entertainers first sell air time to sponsors and second impart their viewpoint. Once you understand that you can often move past the myth and into the facts.
Is Glenn Beck a nice guy? Sure why not, I imagine he and his family are happy and fun to be around. But it is possible to pander to a section of society to make a profit and do so knowingly. I see many so called marxists and communists do the exact same thing as union bosses crow about the workers all while making millions a year more than the rank and file.
My own father was the head of a union and when I said I truly hated unions - he was shocked. Why on earth is that he asked? I said when the leaders of the unions make the same pay as the rank and file (plus of course needed expenses) - then it will be a fair game, he paused a minute looked me in the eyes and said you are right. Pandering to greed is human nature and many of these folks can be both the founders of charitable works and intolerant views. They aren't mutually exclusive.
So it isn't my politics that make me question Mr. Beck's character because I agree with his view on some subjects, it is his manner of pandering to a lowest common denominator that makes me pause. I see things very differently as I am a native American of Cherokee descent. When your people have a part of their history called the Trail of Tears in which a president of the country ignored the Supreme Court in order to steal your land

I was raised by my father and my grand father before him not to trust any government and not to take their money. When your people were marched in the snow to their death across many states it makes you consider the wisdom of blindly following a government "plan" on anything.
I served my people and defended my land in the military as I consider myself a warrior - however I have seen where blindly following a person or plan can lead to, if not carefully vetted.
