It's been over a decade since I went to one. Last one was A-kon X in 1999 (X/1999 who could resist). Met Lo-Pan at A-kon 8, Bruce "The Chin" Campbell at A-kon X (another reason to go), Ippongi Bang at A-kon 6 and Frank (push the button Frank) Conniff at A-kon 7. But now all the "old" cons are INSANELY HUGE and simply finding people you ran into the last time is nearly impossible. Plus cosplays are so professional nowadays. There isn't any room for the quick and dirty outfits I use to wear.
