Information on well...everything
« on: September 01, 2013, 01:09:09 PM »
Hello all,

First, did not know all this was going and just by luck found this out. Wow is all I can say, me and the wife were long time villains and are so very SQUEEEEEEE! that all this is going on.

Like I said we got lucky and just happened to see a link on info about the upcoming Kickstarter, expect monies from us we need our fix again.lol

Ok some questions from us, what are going to be the system requirements for our pc's?

I see there is the Plan Z Phoenix Project, Heroes and Villains, and Valiance Online what is this all about? Different directions by the former CoX player base?

Me and a some other former players run a FB page called Fort Nerd we a have alittle fan base(400+) so any upcoming info on the progression of what is going with now be relayed via our site. I figure with the other former players will need to know what is going on and maybe pick up some new players, win win in my book.

Finally, the only problem I have seen is that I for one didn't know this was happening, is there a way you all can be more "out there" in getting info out? Is there a FB page dedicated just for all this? Info in gaming magazines? I know of a few other former players that I have talked to that didn't know anything about all this.

Thanks for any help and/or info, keep on going!!!

Welcome back/glad you joined us/what took you so long. :)

I'm not part of any of the Plan Z projects, but I can give you some basic info.

I don't know that these have been finalized for any of the projects, but you can follow any developments at their respective sites:

Missing Worlds Media -- on Facebook
Heroes and Villains -- on Facebook
Valiance Online -- on Facebook

Another member on these forums recently made a post about some of the differences between the three projects. Keep in mind that some of the comments are from a personal perspective, but you can get a general idea of how they are set apart until someone else can pipe in.

Missing Worlds Media has actually gotten quite a bit of press in the year since the shutdown announcement. I know the crew working on Heroes and Villains also has been interviewed a couple times, but I don't recall seeing anything about Valiance Online.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info and checked on the info as well. Hard to say how it is going right now with the 3 different directions the games are going.

Valience may be the furthest along and might be just what we're waiting for if they can actually get it deployed -- interestingly, their "mythology" is that this is a city set in a Super-Hero FUTURE ... (City of Legion of Super Heroes?) -- I'm rather looking forward to playing it in ADDITION to other alternatives.

Of the crowd-sourced, The Phoenix Project is (in my view) the stretch project... trying to go beyond COH in play scope -- they have the most resources, the most ambition, and are about to get a check from me when they open their kickstarter.

While Heroes and Villains is the safety project... A nice pastiche world intending to essentially duplicate the COH game style and made with the supposedly "generic build-your-own-game" HeroEngine product (which may or may not save them tech hassles) -- I like their vision and look forward to sending them some cash too when they want some.
